Wesentliche Beobachtung: kein Schnee!
richtig erkannt! das war auch mein erster Gedanke 
soweit so gut, aber eben schon schnell etwas höher hat es noch schnee. wir haben viele touren, downhills die gut gehen. nur letztes jahr machten wir eine muni-wanderung auf einen gipfel (der liegt zur zeit noch ziemlich unter schnee…)… aber ich habe da schon die eine oder andere alternative…
jedenfalls hoffe ich, dass ihr euch mit den fotos vor ort etwas bessr zurecht findet (wir machen auch noch schilder hin)

Nichts ist unmöglich. Ich habe im letzten Jahr nicht auf 1Radfahren verzichtet und bin heil geblieben. Dann war ich gestern bei meinen Eltern zu Besuch und bin draussen ohne Schuhe herumgelaufen (Temperaturen im zweistelligen Bereich = also 10 Grad).
Das Ergebnis ist ein höchstwahrscheinlich gebrochener Zeh. Mittlerweile kann ich in Badeschlappen wieder im Schneckentempo herumlaufen. Richtige Schuhe gehen aber gar nicht.

we’ll see and feel some snow, at least the ones of us who aren’t afraid of hiking uphill with the munis a little bit… also this weekend it snows down to 1400masl (our cabins are at 1600masl) 
naja, warme sachen dürfen sicher nicht fehlen, die wetterprognose sieht nicht allzu schlecht aus (kein regen, bewölkt, und eher kühl) … auch das mit den Duschen wird gut organisiert werden müssen…:o

Ha, I am in the same situation - and living in Scotland means I am very exposed to the volcano’s mood swings… Croisons les doigts!

I decided to come by train! tchoo tchoo to Zurich! (with my big bags and gipsy look I will look suspicious ;))
but still arriving on friday evening? just give a call if i can pick you up somewhere…

yes arriving on friday evening, but since I managed to get a better budget I rented a car in Zurich! (leaving Zurich at about 8 PM)
only risk is getting lost while arriving at night… I am usually pretty good at finding my way but my smell will be probably impaired by the car
