ya there there to kinda stregenth the hole i like the thier on my bike rims

hey, i m gettting my custom nimbus in few days too.. hurrayyyy!!!

Customised my nimbus today.

Had a nimbus trials 2005 but kept breaking cranks so have just changed it.

New specs.
Onza Hog Rim 47mm wide.
Nimbus ISIS Hub.
KH Moment cranks 125mm.
Snafu Concave Pedals.
Cromo Seatpost.
KH Street Saddle, Black and Green.

Will post some pictures when I get back from the BJC.

Built the wheel myself and already I can feel the difference that the wider rim makes to stability.

Plumsie.

Once I get some more money, Im getting the frame blue, cranks green, seatpost yellow, spokes red.

Inconspicious bump;)

I do believe the term is nimbi

nice. hvent thought of that one

My brand spanking new clean Nimbus 24" Muni with double hole moments (before I rode it  ).

Hey do you think that that is just as good for muni as a KH. I want to get a muni but dont wanna fork over tons of dollars.

Cost?

I think it is as good if you upgrade to KH freeride saddle and KH moment cranks. The nimbus has a slightly narrower rim (doesn’t matter for muni) and a slightly heavier frame (also doesn’t matter for muni).

Narrow rims sucks for muni, and weight does matter a bit, cause a lighter muni will be easier to ride for a long time.

I guess it’s kinda personal. I have a 32mm rim and a 2.7" tyre on my muni and it’s great. I can’t see how a wider rim would be any different apart from being heavier. And 300 grams weight will probably not make a noticable difference.

A wider rim will allow for a larger volume, wider and more grippy tyre which will help cusion the ride and give better grip. Thats the advantages I see. You have to ballence this with the weight, If you dont need the exta volume and grip, why not save the weight and make a lighter, nimble and more responsive Muni.
