Custom Koxx-One Unicycles

'Cos he’s been 7ft or so since he was 15 haha

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I was looking to get a White Russian and noticed some huge price differences. Everything from around $200 to nearly $500.
I also noticed that sometimes they are listed as Koxx one White Russian and sometimes as CFG WhiteRussian.
Is there a difference between the Koxx one and the CFG model?
I want to get a 24" one for riding around town and doing basic tricks, but don’t want to buy a cheap knockoff on accident that will break easily.

hey vee! the CFG and koxx-one models are the same as far as im aware, CFG is just an importer
They’re cheap on www.makais.com and www.meijer.com at the moment, america seems to be getting k1 uni’s cheap!

Yeah - Grrrrr!

Thanks for the quick answer. The other question is if anyone has any experience riding the White Russian. I have been riding for about 7 months and am finally confident enough to start trying some tricks and things. I don’t want anything too fancy since I am still fairly new and don’t know too much about what I prefer.
Any review of the White Russian and if it is a good starter for tricks would be very helpful.

that’s a strong enough 24" for tricks, but 24"'s arent made for tricking, they’re made for bombing down trails at quite a speed
you could learn some of the basics, but 20" wheels are the standard for tricks and stuff

just change the rim and your 24inch will be bomb proof, and also change your tire to. If you want to do tricks have a street setup because the muni rim and tire are very weak.

I had another Koxx question. I’ve decided to go with a 20" White Russian because I want to get into street. I have found many places that sell them including this site that was suggested to me here:

http://makais.com/products/White-Russian-20-Unicycle.html

I am new to street and so was wanting to order a variety of crank sizes to try out to see what works best for me. I was wondering if the hub is an ISIS hub. I think it should be but can find no info anywhere that says if it is or not.

Also though it is probably for a different topic, what size cranks are recommended for starting out in street?

Thanks for your time in advance.

Hub is isis. 125mm - 137mm for street/trials

id say 125mm is a bit short. if i rode street id ride the new koxx cranks that are 133mm or 137 moments

Wow there, 133’s and 137’s are too long for street!

I ride street and flat with 137s, it feels fine!

hahaha It’s all personal preference. But I would seriously suggest 125’s for street. 137’s are a bit more for trials.
Edit: It feels FINE, but 125’s feel AMAZING!

Why do you prefer 125s? For the speed?

Yes and that they flip so fast. But it’s all personal preference.

I’ve ridden 125s, 135s, and 137s and i found it doesn’t really make a difference…

Shorter cranks flip faster, but surely on longer cranks you can get more torque to snap the flip?
