thats cool, is there a special name for that 180 unispin that starts with the seat in and ends with the sif and you only use one hand
It was a double flip and my foot landed infront of the crank and the pedal came around and took my foot out from under me and it caught on the top of my shoe and tore it off then cut a 2" gash in my heel.
It is an outflip. 180 unispin crankflip from seat in. It doesn’t matter if you catch it with one or two hands.

Left or Right
when I hop, I use my right hand with my right crank forward and I prefer to hop left. what foot should I use to spin the wheel?
If you are doing backflips then use your back foot, if you are doing frontflips then use your front foot.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong though.

In this case, you have already stated your right crank is forwards… what more do you need to know?
Do it the same way you hop.
Tomsey if you read this, I landed my first crankflip yesterday (Alex spent many hours trying to tutor me a few months ago)… man they’re easy! I think i might hold the record for the slowest learning curve to get this trick down - 10 months!!
I landed it down a small 2 stair straight away (and very almost up aswell).
The previous day I landed my first ever triple zero flip so maybe that helped me a bit. Next up: sex changes and doubles. 
This thread has gone so far off topic haha. You guys mind if I ask what the highest set you have flipped up? Also the highest double up…?

Thank you very much to those who have helped me, I landed my first couple crankflips today (sif backflips), and I think I am now the second person in Ottawa to land a crankflip. (Ryan being the first).
I’ve done 2 and 180fliped up 2 aswell. Tomsey has done 3 and I think thats the highest.
I have flipped up a 2 also, that was really easy but a 3 seems huge.
How many stairs can everyone crankflip down? I did a pretty big 3 the other day and I reckon I can go bigger…
I’ve done 6 first try. I could do a 7 if i had one.
I have flipped down a seven, slightly sketchy. And a six no problems.
And I have flipped up a 3 set as well. I enjoy going for flips up sets.
