Fees haven’t changed this year. I’ve added a dynamic progress bar on the top left of the forum. It’s automatically updated when a payment is sent through Ko-fi.
It will be shown until the donations reach the fees, so I won’t pin this topic like I usually do.
The progress bar is custom work, there may be bugs so send me a message if anything seems off (messing with the forum layout on certain devices for example).
Also, I’ve changed the fees starting month from September to January, which makes things easier for me (I rolled the slight donation surplus into these 5 months).
I’ve manually tweaked the current donation progress value because I forgot both taxes and dollar to euro conversion value, which reduces amounts received by 15% in average (total), so the displayed value has decreased a bit. I’ve updated my script to take this into account.
Also, the fees listed in the first post of this topic were listed in $, whereas they should have been listed in €, I’ve fixed this as well.
Servers’ costs have decreased a bit.
After unexpected fees last year due to traffic spikes from bots (see ⚠️ Post here if you have any issue regarding the site (images or pages not loading, etc)) I couldn’t resolve, I disabled the CDN (bunny.net). The site’s responsiveness doesn’t seem to be very much affected, at least nobody complained so far. Perhaps I’ll try Cloudflare in the future.
Donations progress bar is back. Happy to see that it still works after many Discourse updates
