A Uni Makes A Cube Less Dreary

All,

This is a picture of my cube at WorldCom, in Clinton MS, for the time being. It was pretty spartan before, but the Stealth Torker livens it up. What do you think?

(Sorry about the heavy use of flash.)

Lewis

Heehee, excellent! When I took mine to work a few times last year I’d leave it behind the desk with just the seat poking out, just to see how many people would notice.

I foresee a “strangest place you take a picture of your unicycle” competition…

Phil, just me

That sounds like quite a competition, I’m in… there are some really strange places in pittsburgh. I’ll take you on if I can find a camera arround somewhere

Ahhhwww, Greg all ready has the lock down on that with the pic of him on top of AND INSIDE a Van De Graaff Generator; this can only be topped by riding on the Oscer Myar Wheener Mobile, sorry.

-Christopher

I imagined your cube a little bigger, Lewis; something kinda like the basket ball court they parked Hanebal in, or as written by Stan Lee to contain the Big Green Guy. The all black unicycle adds colour, though.

Oh, ya- almost forgot:

i have unis in high places

Speaking of unis in weird places… It took a bit of doing to get up there. Ah, but the end result is reward enough… that was way too much fun.

Yes, the thought did cross my mind as I wrote that. Not fair!

Phil, just me, off to find some secret government military installation to ride on stuff…

Re: i have unis in high places

Okay, everybody’s thinking it, but nobody’s asking…

So how did you get up there?!
How did the uni?

If you don’t want to tell, you can keep it a mystery. Did it involve a giraffe?

uni57 (Dave)

That would make a fun new topic.

I rode my unicycle on the observation deck of the World Trade Center in 1986, on a visit with Tom Miller. I have a picture of me walking the wheel up there, which I must scan someday. “Top” that!

(someday it will change)

it actually did NOT involve a giraffe. i mean there are no zoos in the area, and i doubt if theyd let me ride it to the school anyway…
oh wait! i get it. one of those unis. sorry bout that.

Ill tell ya how i did it… it involved an “assistant”. Hee hee. I climbed up there, uni-less, and then my bro, cameraman and assistant for that outing, handed me my uni, as i leaned down to bring it up. it was the most fun ive ever had getting a picture taken. (but dont tell anyone how i got there. itsa been a secret to the general public up to this time.)

Never changing? Hmm, maybe the contents haven’t changed but the url
has. Since a long time, I’ve linked to your Things Not To Do on one of
my web pages, and someone recently pointed out that the link was
broken.

Lewis, will you let Rudolph Giuliani play with your Uni?

Memphis Mud,

At this time, I can neither confirm nor deny that I would, or wouldn’t, let him ride.

My Office …

Cool. A 6" slide rule, a 12" bamboo slide rule (probably mahoganey) and a circular slide rule. I’ve got them all!! Great, antique minds think (occassionally) alike. Or (occassionally) think alike.
