I have 2x Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29x2.4 new in box and one slightly used. I bout these thinking that I was going to make a frankentire out of them, I tested one out for a few rides but liked another tire better. Decided not to use these and need to sell.
I would like to get $50 each for the new ones and $40 for the used one.
Buyer pays shipping.
MSRP: $75.85
EDIT: Might consider trade for some good street tires, 26 or 29
Hey I want to try to make a pneumatic 52” unicycle, the tube will be vinyl and use a tubeless valve, the tire is the hard part. I plan to cut two 26” tires in half and I’ve been trying to find a way to stick the together, could you help me out?
Cut your tubes and rough up the surfaces then apply glue to both surfaces then join them by overlapping.
I have watched several videos where they demonstrate but of course I’m having trouble finding it now. You may have to spend a little time searching the find it. If I find it I will send you the link.
I was thinking you were joining the inner tube. To do the tire you will more than likely need to make a butt joint and do a reinforcement patch inside overlapping both sides generously. You may want to look at some rubber seam welding videos we’re you actually weld the two sections together with heat. I would still do a reinforcement patch on the inside.
You can look up Frankentire here on the forum, people have done several with varying degrees of success. From what I remember they glue and sew the ends together with some overlap.
