New Magura 2004 HS33 silver brakes

New old stock silver Magura 2004 HS33’s, $100 per wheel

Every once in a while I come across a stash of brand new 2004 HS33 brakes that someone tucked away for a bike build that never happened or a bike shop that is selling off their old stock of Maguras. Even though they may be 6 or more years old, they are still new and should give you thousands of miles of solid braking on your unicycle. Lever blades are compatible with the KH Spooner lever extension

I sell the most 2004 HS33 brakes to unicycle riders because they seem to fit the best under the unicycle saddle, the compact lever with its red TPA knob is easy to reach for most riders, and the lever body itself can take more hard UPD hits than the more fragile 2005-2010 HS33’s. I run 2004 HS33’s on all my unicycles except the 36er which has a Magura frankenbrake.

These are $100/per wheel depending on which ones you want. They come with mounting instructions and are set up with black brake pads and whatever line length you want and a longer 10" crossover tube to clear wide tires (I can calculate line length for you if you want me to), bled and tested for leaks and function. Mounts not included.

This brake will fit on any Kris Holm unicycle: 20, 24, 29 and 36 or any brand of unicycle (Hunter, Nimbus, etc) that comes with dedicated four-bolt Magura mounts that look like this: http://www.trialtech.co.uk/images/L_TT_Sport_Fork_HS33mounts.jpg
You will need Magura four bolt mounts like this (I have a few sets of these too): http://www.trials-uk.co.uk/files/ecomproducts-image-1804.jpg
You will also need a place to mount your brake lever under the saddle like this: http://www.krisholm.com/khu/brackets

PAYMENT AND SHIPPING:
Paypal works best for me, but money orders are also ok. My paypal address is: uniflasher@hotmail.com. Shipping will be $5 for USPS Priority Mail shipping in the US (2-3 days) and $10 for first class shipping to Canada (7-9 days). I ship the day after I receive funds.

BLEEDING / TESTING:
I flush and bleed all brakes with fresh Magura blue blood before I test, pack and ship your brake. Bleeding hydraulic brakes is messy and no fun - and so you won’t have to deal with fluid leaks, after I assemble and bleed them with fresh Magura blue blood, I test them all for leaks by putting the wheel cylinders into a custom test jig that I made. There, I’ll cycle the brake pistons under full power to check for proper function and leaks without having to bolt them up to a unicycle frame.

MORE BRAKES AND PARTS:
E-mail me if you want something different or digital pictures of something in particular. I also have a good selection of less expensive nice used HS33 and HS22 brakes and several of my HS33/HS22 hybrid “franken-brakes” for 36” wheels too.

BTW, I also have these available separately:

  • New Magura four bolt mounts with stainless hardware are $20/per wheel
  • Magura rim brake bleed kits are $22

First two pics are of a red/black combo that is lightly used. I also photographed some new Magura four bolt mounts if you need these as well

The last two pics are of a new red lever and black slave cylinders.

This is what I’ll be shipping. The red lever shown in the other photos was new and the $80 price point you wanted is for a lightly used lever . . . .so this used red lever has a couple of marks on it that I photographed, but other than this scratch, its in great shape. message me back to let me know this all looks ok.

this was the look I was going for

Brycer! I have a question for you, where do you get your cables from? I went to the LBS to get a longer cable for one of my brakes and they told me I can’t get cables without the fittings, and I can’t get anything for under 60$CAD.

I get 3 meter rolls of cable from Magura USA in IL.

Strange story there . . . . Just a guess: the new 2011 HS33’s use special fittings at the lever and it may be that they want the dealers to sell them as made up tubing complete with ends to avoid problems fitting the special fittings in the tubing??

Anyway, that does sound whacky and not even close to what you want, so I have tubing here for $3/foot and another $2 to ship in the US and Canada. PM me and let me know what you want. Olives are $1.25 each.

Cheers,
Bryce

I got a whole brake instead:p But if I need anything else I’ll PM you. Thanks for the info!
