NAUCC 2010 Discussion thread.

Yes, I’m kidnapping you…

Hahahaha. Have we found a solution to transportation from venue to venue? And also if you are working this summer (I’m going to try to get a job) taking a plane would probably be better than train because you get an extra day to work, which will pay for the difference in price.

Right now it seems my dad is driving me- and you and Jon if you guys can come. Of course he’d have to talk to your parents if they agreed but my dad is fine with taking a vacation. We’d take our van and that has plenty of space, and we can drive places. I will be working this summer too, and flying is still a possible option, but I think it would be worth it to take a few days driving out there, and have transportation. And we would have a responsible adult also.

So does that mean you will be an irresponsible adult. :stuck_out_tongue:
Sounds good to me if my parents okay it.

Haha, I forgot I’ll be 18 then. I’m responsible though  :D.

Zach? Responsible? is it even possible to use those words in a sentence together? haha

well it seems that I am either:

A. going to Brazil in July

B. Going to NAUCC
or
C. Both

but I is gonna be hard to do any of those things… so we will see. One is going to happen for sure… damn money… damn it all…

Youre going to Naucc or youre going to both.Team Dirty Needlez must reunite !

all of Dirty Needlez at naucc!?

B or C! I haven’t seen you in a while.

There’s a website up now with a tentative schedule: http://ugames.caluni.org/home.

And its almost time. Who is ready? I am… I have my suitcase packed and im about to head to the airpo… wait a minute… i think i might have gone too far this time…

Hey,

Registration for the NAUCC 2010 is now open!!! :astonished:

Here is the link: http://ugames.caluni.org/registration

We have a group of over 20 people from Puerto Rico that will be participating this year! Can’t wait to get there!!!

I just filled out the registration form, I haven’t paid yet but that’ll happen soon. I signed up for:

High Jump
Long Jump
Street Comp: expert
Flatland: expert
Observed Trials: advanced
Speed Trials: advanced

I’m gonna go. The registration seems pretty simple, but what is observed trials? is at a competition?

Yep!thats hard.i just made a long list where i disabled all my parents arguments and no i can watch how i’m getting slowly more permission:D

i agree!!!

no.but hopefully 6 of us  so maybe one third is going. thats preeeetyyy gooood!

“Observed trials” is the standard trials competition (with observers at each station checking if you made the line). That’s distinct from “Speed trials”, which will have a timed component. (Full rules to follow.)

Boy am I excited about this… I just finished my registration.

Just doing Street and Flat expert.

There’s something I don’t understand about the registration.

We have to be a member of the USA, right ? I don’t understand why. I just see it as a diverted way of asking for more money. I don’t have anything against the fact of paying 105 $ instead of 85, but I don’t like the idea of becoming a member of the USA just for that.

Thank you,
Hugo

Insurance. USA foots the (rather large) bill for the insurance policy. But you can think of it as asking for more money if you like–the end result is the same.
