Magura HS33 rim brakes, new and used

New and used Magura HS33 rim brakes

I’m sorting through a large lot of new old stock (NOS) Magura rim brake parts I picked up recently. (some parts are new bike take-offs and show wear from living in a parts box loose, but were never ridden/used or even left the bike shop). The pictures show just a portion of the NOS stuff I picked up.

I started putting them together into sets for unicycles. Lots of colors from day-glo yellow to red to booring old silver and black. Comes with new black brake pads, brake line length and crossover lengths of your choice and I bleed and test them before I ship so they will be ready to mount on your unicycle right out of the box. All of these lever blades are KH spooner compatible.

These brakes will fit on any Kris Holm unicycle: 20, 24, 29 and 36 or any brand of unicycle (Hunter, Nimbus, etc) that comes with dedicated four-bolt Magura mounts that look like this: http://www.inspiredbicycles.com/imag...own-mounts.jpg
You will need Magura four bolt mounts like this (I have a few sets of these too): http://www.unicycle.com/unicycle-har…-brackets.html
You will also need a place to mount your brake lever under the saddle like this: http://www.unicycle.com/unicycle-har...yle-seats.html

PRICES (for new HS33’s assembled from all new/NOS parts):
2004 HS33 Olympia limited edition brake, with silver lever blade: $100 per wheel
2004 HS33 Red, silver, yellow levers with matching cylinders: $95 per wheel
2004 HS33 levers with choice of new, but non-matching wheel cylinders: $90 per wheel. Mix and match what ever color combination you want.

PAYMENT AND SHIPPING:
Paypal works best for me, but money orders are also ok. My paypal address is: uniflasher@hotmail.com. Shipping will be $5 for USPS Priority Mail shipping in the US (2-3 days) and $10 for first class shipping to Canada (7-9 days). I ship the day after I receive funds.

BRAKE LINE LENGTH:
I’ll set up your brake with whatever length of brake line you want from 18" on up to some freaky long distance handlebar at 30" or more. If you want, I can also help you determine the right length of brake line for your leg length and unicycle wheel size. Just ask. I also change the cross over tube to a longer 10" line that clears 3.0" tires better.

BLEEDING / TESTING:
I flush and bleed all brakes with fresh Magura blue blood before I test, pack and ship your brake. Bleeding hydraulic brakes is messy and no fun - and so you won’t have to deal with fluid leaks, after I assemble and bleed them with fresh Magura blue blood, I test them all for leaks by putting the wheel cylinders into a custom test jig that I made. There, I’ll cycle the brake pistons under full power to check for proper function and leaks without having to bolt them up to a unicycle frame.

MORE BRAKES AND PARTS:
I also have several sets of lightly used genuine Magura alloy four bolt mounts with new stainless steel hardware for $18 per wheel, some stainless braided crossovers, bleed kits and loads of other Magura rim brake stuff, new and used.

E-mail me if you want something different or digital pictures of something in particular. I also have a good selection of less expensive nice used HS33 and HS22 brakes and several of my HS33/HS22 hybrid “franken-brakes” for 36” wheels too.

I have a set of brakes from Bryce on my 24" Conundrum, 26" Conundrum and will have another set on my 36" Nightrider by next Monday. Quality brakes for a great price!
Make sure you have what you need to put brakes on your uni… then give Bryce a call or PM him, well worth it.

Bryce has been working with me via email and he is great to work with answering all my brake noobie questions. His answers are always very complete and informative. He has really made me feel comfortable that I know what I need to know to order brakes.

See the new levers on the Left (one in the bag and two that are without packaging and have some handling marks from knocking around a parts shelf for a while and the lightly used levers on the right. The used levers come with new NOS CNC’d alloy lever blades or I can substitute lightly used black lever blades for you too (same style as the new levers have).

Brycer

I just bought a pair of Magura HS33 from Brycer. He is extremely helpful and his prices are great. He cut down the brake wires to fit my uni perfect. If you are considering buying from him go for it!

Bump!
Still have loads of brakes left.

hey bryce, had a question for ya… is there any way you could “upgrade” my HS33 steel braided line to a 18 inch “thicker” steel line like the white ones sold on UDC?

my friends got one and i can see a huge difference in stopping power!

thanks

and oh yeah

/bump

I don’t have any braided lines or Plazmatic crossovers right now. If you get the new line, any bike store should be able to change it out for you. If you can’t find a place to do the swap, I can, but you’d have to pay shipping both ways.
Cheers,
Brycer

Buy your brakes from brycer. The brakes he sent me are functioning perfect, and I couldn’t be happier

I bought a gold set of the NOS HS33’s from him to put on my Nightrider ISIS 36er… Awesome!!! No rubbing, great stopping power, and pimp to boot  pics later

I bought a set of new Magura HS33 brakes from Brycer. He was extremely helpful on determining the length of the cables and very fast at returning private messages. I ordered them on Sunday and received them on Thursday. Just put them on my Muni and tried them out. They look great and work great. I’m looking forward to the trails. Thanks for the incredible service.

Bump! Still have lots of new and used Magura brakes and brake parts. Let me know what you need.
