Does anyone have a Zippo lighter? If you do have one, can you do any tricks? I really want to get one for Christmas this year. I have been searching tons of Zippo sites looking for cool designs. I found that this site had the best selection: http://coolzippos.com/ Enjoy:)

I used to have a fake zippo but I broke it. I don’t really see the point in buying a zippo brand zippo, you can guy some pretty nice ones for cheaper, but you do have to be a bit careful.
yes fire fun, but a common lighter is cheaper and you can make it go bang once it is out. Also, according to my yukky smoker dirty lungs friends, a zippo makes a cigarette taste yuk. imagine that, a cigarette that doesn’t taste nice…?
After playing with my dads for a few minutes i can pop it open with two fingers on top and thumb on bottom and squeezing.

I can do a few zippo tricks. I’ve always wanted to do that one where you light the tip of your finger like a gun, light a cig, and blow it out.
I disagree, a cigarette tastes like it should no matter how you light it (I smoke Camel Turkish Royals), but a zippo makes a bowl of cannabis taste like poop.

surprisingly enough, I can still outrun those of my friends who do not smoke (the ones I’ve raced anyway).
PS: zippotricks.com was shut down because someone burned themself, even though there was a warning that said something to the effect of “if you burn yourself we are not responsible”. I haven’t checked the site in a few months…yeah, it’s still down.
EDIT: BICs are the best lighters; they never fail. Zippos may be windproof, but if you do so many tricks with them you’ll need a new one. I mean, sure you can refill a BIC, but who does that?
How do you light your finger without burning it? Look at the video link i posted. In the beginning the dude has his finger lit for like 5 secs.
I’m pretty sure they dip their finger in something like isopropyl alcohol…
He puts some sort of lighter fluid on his finger, so the fire burns the fluid and not his finger. But you need to put it out before all the fluid is gone, or else it will burn your finger.

all you need is a Bic (not the pen) and a bottle of metho. hours of fun. try in a squirty bottle? put a dab on all your fingers and light one the touch them together so they all burn. cotton wool balls soaked then fired with a sling shot, soccer ball covered in it (or petrol(make sure its one of the hairy green ones))
and i could go on.

yes the indoor soccer ones. i think i may have grown out of it, i no longer find myself wanting to burn things or blow up peoples letter boxes… maybe its just a phaze.
I have an Astro-Boy Lighter with some good memories behind it. I can’t do any tricks except hit the blunt though.

I think you’d have a better chance of finding something useful, safe and really, really stupid if you just find out the name of something (napalm, thermite, sodium peroxide etc), then search for it on wikipedia. There’s usually a “how to” section that’s there for “educational purposes only”
And those forums are mostly the same stuff stewn up over and over again, often from another forum, with bad/dangerous instructions.
Or, one could go to their local library and borrow a few books on imporvised military explosions.
Or, “The anarchist cookbook”, to make your friends think you’re cool.
Ahh…brings back memories…those were two forums I used to frequent before I started unicycling (&totse moreso than rotteneggs)
