You’re never too old to fall! : )

What’s your name? John

Where do you come from? Chicago area

What is your experience of unicycling? I tried learning for the first time in ’21 at 60 years old, but stopped after 9 day/attempts & didn’t touch it again for 3 1/2 years. This time at 63 with more determination & 12 more days/attempts under my belt, I can circle a hockey rink a couple times! I will not give up again & I’m improving all the time & I love this unusual sport.

I see you ride a 26” Club; that was my first unicycle! :slightly_smiling_face: Bit big for learning, sure, but once you get the hang of it the size matters less and less. I found the learning process frustrating, yet addicting. Congratulations for sticking with it!

Awesome!
Welcome to this wonderfully unusual sport, and welcome to the forum!!

Thank you very much! Yes, I agree a 20” or 24” would have been easier but I finally broke through. This is a tough uni & goes flying quite often & is holding up great. Learning how to jump off/dismount safely are the most important parts for me.

Welcome! I hope you have lots of fun on your unicycle.

Thank you for the encouragement! I plan to keep practicing, improving & never stop!

Have you actually fallen?

Most definitely. I’m new to this so I make mistakes. No real injuries to stop me. Those pads I wear work well.

Thank you!

Thank you! Beginners must accept this.
