# Wheel size revolution equivalents

Been thinking about the upcoming 32er and I did some back of the envelope math. I didn’t take tire size into account. I’ll just leave this here and let the more precise mathma-uni-ticians argue the finer points.

20” diameter= 62.8319” circumference
1 mile = 1008.4 revolutions
Equivalent revolutions on a 36” = 1.8 miles

24” diameter= 75.3982” circumference
1 mile = 840.3 revolutions
Equivalent revolutions on a 36” = 1.5 miles

26” diameter= 81.6814” circumference
1 mile = 775.7 revolutions
Equivalent revolutions on a 36” = 1.38 miles

29” diameter= 91.1062” circumference
1 mile = 695.5 revolutions
Equivalent revolutions on a 36” = 1.24 miles

32” diameter= 100.531” circumference
1 mile= 630.25 revolutions
Equivalent revolutions on a 36” = 1.13 miles

36” diameter= 113.097” circumference
1 mile =560.2 revolutions
Equivalent revolutions on a 36” = 1 mile

Long time, no see. I think you need a few more decimal places for better precision.

Argghhh imperial measurements

Feels good to be back. Yeah, sig figs were never my strong suit.

Napoleon was an emperor too.
