AVATAR:
av·a·tar (ăv’ə-tär’) n.

The incarnation of a Hindu deity, especially Vishnu, in human or animal form.
An embodiment, as of a quality or concept; an archetype: the very avatar of cunning.
A temporary manifestation or aspect of a continuing entity: occultism in its present avatar.

The avatars on this site, however are the images under the names of different people. Mine, for example is myself slashing myself and so on…

You can have any appropriate image that is 100x100 pixels or smaller and less than 20000bytes.

An avatar is the little picture that appears under your name on the left side of the screen. Most people post an avatar that is tasteful and somewhat representative of themselves. There are a few avatars that are offensive and in poor taste.

You have to earn it by practicing and promoting unicycling as a sport, and the uni-santa will give you an avatar some day!
