Video of your latest ride

I refuse to see it as a useless wheel. I just need a lot of practice. When the technique is right, you can ride a good distance and then you can just have it in the car and it doesn’t take up any space (the 28", not the 36", which doesn’t even fit in the back)

If I remember correctly it was you who came up with this term :innocent:

I prolly banned it right out of my mind after having said that then. I disagree with myself.

I came up with the term useless wheel, because my build was lacking pedal mounts for quiet some time. Now it is converted to an ultimate wheel.

Ah, so I got this mixed up. Apologies to @Setonix.

Finally, finally had time to let my daughter make a video of me riding the big UW. This time didnt forget to bring my phone

That looks great - very smoothly done - and the fact that your daughter had to run to keep up is a sign of what a viable form of transport this is.
However from listening I thought at first she was riding a horse… Now there’s an interesting competition - UW vs horse - I have a feeling I know who would win

She was just running behind me. My son was playing on the cruiser skateboard. There were some kids of around 12 I think from the primary school around. Last time they were all teasing and asking why I wanted ride that, as I could only ride 5 metres. I also let them try to see how easy it is. They couldn’t even keep the wheel upright while holding on to something.
This time they were more interested after they saw me ride the circle. Like how do I keep balance.
The area is a bit too small to really ride a longer distance, because I have to constantly turn and I don’t know how to just twist the wheel 90º. Two times I’ve tried repositioning my foot, because it wasn’t at the right spot, but that would instantly result in a UPD. Also what I hope to achieve is hopping off the back, like with a unicycle. But with the momentum of the heavy wheel, I’ve only been able to step off the front in a controlled way, so I could grab the wheel behind me.

Impressive! Though I didn’t imagine you to be bald.

I really enjoy to see you riding a circle. Great

Jeez, you sound like my 11 year old daughter. Always bugging me for being bald and having a belly.

when you set the video on repeat, I will ride in circles forever

Struggling on the slight downhill

I am struggling also. Struggling to watch the videos posted by @SirCranky . I am using an iPhone, and an Apple MacBook. Neither can play the videos posted by SirCranky.

I am open to suggestions.

Thank you!

“This video cannot be rendered because your browser does not support the codec” it says on my iPhone.
I always upload my videos to youtube and then share the link on the forum and facebook. I had watched @SirCranky’s video yesterday on my stationary non-apple computer.

Yeah it doesn’t play on my eple :red_apple: phone either, but on both my Samsung and various archlinux computers I have no issue. Unfortunately I am not “codec-brained”. But if anyone knows what to use please tell me since iPhones mov is not supported so I’m already using ffmpeg.

I was just showing of my OF anyways.

you could decide to switch to a  -phone instead. Those have no issues with codecs and run everything. It is so easy to use, a monkey can handle it.
