velo seat

Just wondering if there has been any news on when we can buy one. How
much? I saw the sample product a couple of days ago and it looks
awesome. When are we gonna get one?!?!

I, too, am eagerly awaiting the availability of the Velo KH seat. In
the meantime I am MUniing with my Semcycle seat, it doesn’t even have
a handle or grip edge. Someone must know when, Kris or John D or
Roger?!?!

If you had this signature, I have forged it.

Well, on Kris’ site, he says it will be out this fall (no more precise).

I too am eagerly awaiting it. I just decided I need to buy a new saddle, so I decided it would get a miyata (obviously), but then i remembered about the velo saddle, so now I too am waiting…oh i hope it isnt too long a wait, my viscount is so horribly ripped up.

-Mike

same sad song, second verse with my Torker saddle, I touched a miyata saddle for the first time yesterday and I got the chills, first of all I cna’t wait to ride a miyata saddle, second I can’t wait to touch a Kris saddle, and third, and best, I can’t wait to RIDE a Kris saddle… oh my, just got the full body chills!!!

yes, i think Kris should update us on when the saddle will be available. Oh, I’m like a kid before christmas, so ancious (spellin?).

-Mike

anxious, and no offence, you aren’t the best at spelling, no offence. Please don’t let this post get it off topic.

Well, it’s fall…

Re: velo seat

I should have some in stock in early December, these will be the new models
as Kris has had modified to be more rigid. I could have had the flexible
models in before now but thought it was not right to do that.

Roger, do you know yet how much you will be selling them for?

Re: velo seat

Mike,

It is going to be more than the Viscount but on the last quote it looks as
if it is going to be less than the Miyata.

How about that for being exact!

Truthfully can not give a price until they arrive with me, I can only give
you an indication because of the exchange rate and depending on what I get
charged by customs.

Damn those customs people raising the price on unicycle related equipment.

Yes, damn them indeed. They’re all out to get us. Next thing you know, they’ll be saying we should have our own schools. I feel opressed!..um…well…no… I’ll shut up now.

It will be so amazing when this seat comes out. I wonder if miyata sales will drop much.

-Mike

Yes, but Mike, this Velo seat will definately available in Canada without having to order cross-border.
Me, I’m looking forward to the whole Norco Unicycle.

Caleb

Yes I know. I was trying to be funny, but apparently I am not. :frowning: …hehhe

I’ve aquired a sample Kris Holm Velo saddle to make a seat rail adapter for it. I’ve got one done and added some photos to my “home made profile hub” gallery here:

http://www.unicyclist.com/gallery/albun21

Too bad this sample has just a front bumper - no handle - but the point of my getting it is to figure out a rail adapter.

The seat rail adapter is made out of titanium so it’s very light at 86 grams. I’ve been using a titanium rail adapter on my Miyata air saddle and so far it’s doing fine even though it looks really flimsy and light.

I have ridden a little on the Velo but not enough to comment on how well it works. It’s easy to twist (grab the front and rear and twist) so I wonder if this particular saddle is one of the earlier more flexible units that Roger talked about. If I hadn’t read Roger’s posts I wonder if I would even notice?

Steve Howard

weird, the bumper mount has only 2 bolts too.it probobly is an earlier proto.one thing i dont like about these seats is the lack of rear bumper coverage,i hope the sides of the KH are made out of kevlar.

<screaming while in tears>why showard do you have to go and mention Titanium to me?.your unbeliveable dude.

i also noticed in your pics that the white seat bumpers have rounded edges.the ones sold are not,can i round out mine with sandpaper when i get them?

hey steve are ya goin to make any more of em proflie hubs? and maybe sell one???/

Thnx
Aaron
