I’ve really been enjoying my Ursli Short bar on my muni. I like the hand position for both one or two hands and it puts the brake lever in a comfortable location. My one complaint is that it dents very easily. I’ve only dropped mine maybe 4-5 times and every time it continues to flatten the front of the handle where it contacts the ground. It’s not really a big issue because its not where I put my hands and it’s mostly hidden under the bar tape but I do wish it was made out of a thicker aluminum tube and then heat treated.
Hi @turtle,
I went to the ursli.li site with the idea of ordering a long bar and noticed that they were out of stock.
Is it just because you are in the process of producing some more and will switch them back to in stock? Or is the production suspended for a while ? Or are you thinking about going on-demand and have not decided how to take orders ?
Thanks in advance for the update
Sidd
Afaik, they’re now produced and sold by mad4one. Ursli just made a new batch when mad4one was out of stock, but do not plan to produce and sell them on the long term.
I have a short and a long. The short is on my muni and it’s just perfect. The long is in a box of parts somewhere.
The “long” is only called a long as its longer than the short. It’s just not long enough for a road unicycle being about 15cm shorter than a fitted T-bar. I really do wish the “long” could be renamed medium and then a proper long Ursli bar may appear?
Yes, that’s how it is. If you can’t order it at mad4one or they are out of stock, please contact me via info@ursli.li
what length would be nice for roadriding? We pruced a prototype, but it requires a stiff saddle (fiberglas base or similar)
Thanks for the feedback! If you but a piece of foam (thin and “hard”) where it hits the ground under the handlebar tape, there won’t be any damages. I ride mine since more than two years without any damages or dents.
An extra 10 to 15cm on the long would be ideal, about the same total length as the T-bar fitted to a KH saddle. If there was a small ~10deg change in angle half way, perfect.
As for the pictured bar, that looks just silly long. Small, large and family sized. The Ursli bar is such a neat and elegant solution, but maybe not that one.
I wouldn’t say so. That looks like an aerobar-long URSLI-bar. Perfect for us roadies!
Is there a way to order the short version directly form Mad4one? I only see long.
They also state that it’s meant for handle saddles and requires modification or DIY for regular saddles.
M40 have three “styles” (look at the drop-down). Standard (tape) - that is for use with handle saddle and has to be attached by “tape”.
The ursli (24cm) and (34cm) is the ones for use with most regular saddles / mounted by 4 long bolts.
Ah, I see it now, I went to check out and saw shipping to the US at 50 euro. $122 usd is a little rich for just a handle unfortunately… Plus more if it incurs any taxes or fees at customs.
A bit late with my reply- Ursli bar in NZ! I got the Ursli bar last year & been really pleased with it on my muni, it’s perfect. I used to get a bit of wrist pain with my old bar but have had no pain with this one. Thank you Turtle
I looked for the Ursli-Bar on Mad4One.com, and could not find it.
Can someone please provide a link to the Ursli-Bar on the M4O website?
If they are out of stock at M4O, I am hoping they will become available again, either through M4O or Ursli. I would like a second Ursli-Bar.
It’s called a handle saddle extension there, which is confusing…but as others have said, the shipping is expensive, 65USD I think it was going to be for me to Seattle area, IIRC. I decided to wait until Ursli has them again, I think that was 15USD.

Thank you, @Blueblade !
Oh, how I wish I had known that or had thought to post the question when I created a large M4O order at the beginning of December!
Yeah, that would have been ideal! I did notice the shipping was the same for an Ursli bar, or an Ursli bar plus a M4O tecno L frame. I was tempted!
The Ursli handle is really great, I just wish it was post-heat treated. It’s very prone to denting on the front where it contacts the ground during a UPD. I see people typically wrap some type of protective bumper material around the front. I just have bar tape on mine and wish it didn’t need additional protection. Mine is basically flat on the front from just a few falls.
Maybe thats a solution:
Thanks for the feedbacks. As I mentioned on different places: the best way to protect your ursli bar ist to put a bit of thin foam under the bicycle bartape. I use leather bartape. Likes this I didn’t had to change it since more then 2 years, also no defects at the bar. friends of mine hade broken saddles, broken seatposts while using the ursli-bar… but so far I never heard of a broken ursli-bar
