Apparently the Toronto Star has a new(ish) section called “Brand New Planet” as best I can tell, for kids. It includes something called “Cool/Not Cool”. Here is a letter in response to this concept:

I don’t think it is fair to tell people what’s cool and what’s not. People should not care what other people think. You’re more influential on people’s feelings than you think. A high self-esteem is very important. I guess the fact that I ride a unicycle makes me only 25% cool. - Quin, Grade 8
