Too bad he missed an opportunity for a joke that was within the traditional subject yet encouraging:

“That’s juggling balls-y !” :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Quite good for what has to be an early AI generated image (I see no cranks or pedals).

It’s Magic. A Magic Unicycle without of cranks and Pedals but you can ride it, I think only with your Mental strength.

I haven’t posted in a while, but I couldn’t resist hopping online to share this one. An antique store find that found its way straight into my house. An adjustable height barstool with the coolest frame I have ever seen.

I love it! I found one earlier this year, and it’s great!

Yours is only the second one I have seen.

That’s so awesome!!! Glad to know there are other ones out there. Yours looks pristine. If you look down at the base of mine, you can see where the seller repaired it with some metal, a welder, and spray paint. When I found it, the thing was barely holding on by busted tubing and a couple of tack welds, so the owner of the antique store contacted the seller, and they agreed to fix it before I bought it.

it even has cranks

Amazing that others on the forum have the same chair already. I’ve never seen it before.

Now that‘s an interesting hub! …and radial lacing pattern.

This is a screenshot I took when watching an episode of ‘De Stort’, a Dutch documentary about the daily life on a local dumping ground.

You can probably guess what’s about to happen to this unicycle…

And the worst part is: this isn’t some random, cheap model from the local toy store… my specialized eyes think this is a perfectly good 20" Qu-Ax!

It only got a meager two seconds of fame, just before its probable, unfortunate and heartless dump between old scrap metal :sad_but_relieved_face:

Im glad I havent seen it then. Where do you live in NL?

Do they dump whatever they grab or do they also try and sell things that are still good?

I’m from Beek en Donk (not far from Eindhoven). Funny, I see you’re from Duiven and I happen to know a unicyclist from Duiven - but looking at your summary, I think it’s someone else. It’s a small world! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Some people do! In the Netherlands, it’s very common to sell secondhand items online. But there are so many items for sale that a lot of them never sell… and then dumping is the solution, unfortunately!
And apparently, that also applies to unicycles, or at least this one. There are quite a few used unicycles for sale online here. I regularly scroll through them (of course :winking_face_with_tongue: ). Usually just simple 20-inch ones, often for a few euros. I wouldn’t be surprised if this unicycle was also for sale, but no one responded. Still, I would have loved to save it!

the other unicyclist in Duiven is Hidde. He rode 300km on his 36” two years ago. He is only 16. He is well out of my league. I occasionally meet him.

20ers are indeed easy to obtain on the used market - same here. I got my QU-AX Street Style with 48 spokes wheel for CHF 1.-! But a reasonable muni is way harder to find.
