Unicycle related graphics for free use

I got a bit sidetracked in the Icons for unicycling disciplines thread and posted a low res, terrible tyre version of these:

I wrote I was going to revise them and post high resolution versions - well, here they are …sort of. To be used for free by any unicyclist* for personal, non commercial use. Unfortunately, the forum software downsized and transformed the .PNG files to .JPGs, so there is no transparency. The size is reduced to a mere 500x500px :slightly_frowning_face:. If you need a transparent or high resolution version (around 3500x3500px) contact me via DM.

It’s cool if someone is going to make use of this to print a T-shirt or stickers or whatever, but things don’t have to stop there. I invite everybody who has unicycle related graphics they’d like to share to post them in this thread. It could be one way to contribute and promote unicycling by making uni related stuff easily available for those who can’t or don’t want to make their own designs. So:

If you have unicycle related graphics you’d like to share, please post them in this thread for others to download. Remember to specify the terms of use, to avoid misunderstandings and misusage.

*I’d say, in this context anyone who can ride a unicycle 100 meters or 100 yards without assistance qualifies.

EDIT: so the resolution is not a problem, after all! It’s probably only limited when displaying the preview of the message .

Here’s my attempt at a uniform icon collection. Orange background = main disciplines. Included some but not all (too many, too fiddly) sub-disciplines. If you happen to want to use them I can provide an .svg (scaleable) or .png.

Very nice icons, love them! I would love to have an .svg version.

I think a few important icons are missing:

IUF Slalom (one of the most popular competitions at Unicon and local events) — a highly leaned figurine with a traffic cone should work well.
50m one-footed is more popular than WW. Better one-footed riders race with one arm stretched out forward (or to the side). You can use it to distinguish the icon from the generic track one.
Stillstand — it is different enough to deserve its own icon.
Coasting.
X-style: it is too distinct from freestyle to use its logo, and doesn’t involve enough jumps to use the generic urban one. I envision a unicyclist pedaling with their hands, legs stretched out in the air.
Jump on platform — both long and high.

The high jump icon could be improved by squeezing the rider vertically. The current logo looks like a beginner clearing a 6" bar.

The long jump icon could benefit from featuring a figurine from the street icon.

For the UPD icon, I suggest an upside-down unicycle.

Further suggestions: ultimate wheel and giraffe unicycle icons. And sumo, of course

IUF Slalom has a distinctive move that could fit well with your icon style: as the rider approaches a cone, they lean backward with one arm stretched out (braking hard while preparing for a sharp turn around the cone). In this position, both the wheel and the rider are visible from the side — consistent with the style of your other icons. Add a cone, and the icon will be very recognizable and unique.
Search “IUF Slalom” on YouTube to find examples like this:

Watch the left rider here, or the right one a second later.

Good point! I actually made one & for some reason didn’t include it. I’ll add that one.

Thanks for the very helpful feedback! I actually have a IUF Slalom & Standstill; I’ll add them & will look at your other suggestions to see what I might be able to manage. They all seem pretty doable so I’ll see what I can come up with.

How do you envision the Jump on platform long & high? Like use a platform similar-ish to the one in Urban, trials but change height? And where would the rider be? In midair, jumping on?

I am not sure which icon you mean — Slalom?

I am not particularly skilled in creative design, and there are likely other users here with a better sense for it. Nevertheless, I tried to visualize my thoughts using your sample. Below are icons ideas for IUF Slalom, 50m/10m One-Foot, Long Jump on Track, Long Jump on Platform, and High Jump on Platform.

The Slalom figurine could or should be improved — the body arch appears too exaggerated.
The One-Foot figurine probably needs the second foot indicated somewhere.
High Jump on Platform looks good to me using your figurine from High Jump Over Bar, although the three lines might need to be repositioned slightly or be removed.
High Jump Over Bar would benefit from a change in body posture — that would also reduce the icon’s vertical size.

For Coasting, I see Nakul Mohakar’s silhouette  @CPUnicycle He is one of the top coasting riders in the world, and he has a very recognizable technique. You can see that in the header of his YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/@nakulmohakar2986

While I like your basketball icon, you might want to consider the LMB logo as inspiration. They have an official logo (likely inspired by the NBA), as well as a special one dedicated to the late Nene. I believe @Maxence can provide more details, as he is currently a Woom player, as far as I understand.

Thank you once again for your excellent work.

@number7cloud , I think your avatar would make a great TShirt that might also generate discussion with non-unicyclists.
