Unicycle Pedals

My pedal on my Impact 19" Athmos Unicycle just broke, and I am wondering what new pedal I should get? I ride street and I think that the reason my pedal broke was because of a big drop I did. I don’t know if I should get a metal or hard plastic pedal, it would also need to work for grinding.

I think any BMX pedals would be a good option. They come in different prices. Cheaper plastic ones actually not that bad, they strong enough, light and work good for grinding. Just make sure to gring always on one side of the pedal.
Aluminum pedals are rarely used for BMX and other trick riding. they more expensive, the axle usually the same thickness, so technically their life spand is the same. but they much harder hit your shin, if that happens.

And btw on my experience the best pedals are Odyssey OGPC. they have VERY thick axles, i think even lifetime warranty on them, the body made of 2 halves and all the bolts that used as spikes for the frip can be fitted on one side of the pedal for grinding.

Could you put a link to the pedals, and why should I only grind on one side of the pedal?

Check the video https://youtu.be/QcLvY_VDy40 They show how the pedals are made after 00:30 and about grinds.
BMX riders using only one side for grinding because it is damages grip spikes and the grind side become covered in wax from the rails.
And official shop is here OG PC Pedals | Odyssey BMX Tho might be easier to get them in your local bikeshop.

So would every time I want to grind I would have to make sure i am using the right side?

Most of the people who doing grinds told me that they used to always standing on non-grind side of the pedal. You immediately will feel if you’re using the wrong side.
I’m not into grinds so don’t care about that.
