Unicycle Art

A follow up on my wooden unicycle model posted in July. It became part of a wedding present to a couple who’s official engagement photos included some shots with a unicycle. Here’s one of those with the finished artwork beside it - as you can see my wife is a black belt at crochet!

She is, no doubt! :star_struck: I’m truly impressed.
That said, I think she missed a little detail or two. But what it is, I can’t quite put my finger on

That’s hilarious - thank you for making me laugh heartily first thing in the morning! The crochet black belt also very much appreciates your additions (but makes an observation that I’m all too familiar with when I show her something ‘important’ that I’ve been doing - “That must have taken a long time” (to which the correct response is “No it didn’t”, even if you’ve just spent the last hour on it instead of doing the thing you were meant to be doing!))

How about this logo at Camp Pendleton. I always knew that Marines were well balanced, but a unicycle in their logo??? They claim that it’s actually a combination of cattle brands, “the Flying T and Hanging O”, which are meant to reference Camp Pendleton’s history as a cattle ranch. But we know better, right?

Had to do pointillism assignment for art class, so I drew this.

How long does that take? Do you draw the picture “pixel by pixel”?

Kind of. Pencil dots. It took about half an hour

Weren‘t you tempted to add a brake? I know I would‘ve had a hard time to resist …just a couple hundert additional dots.

Sounds pointless. I’d take a picture and have them as pixels on the screen

ROCKET POWERED UNICYCLE

no helmet? It must be you who is flying :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, a UPD - unplanned departure :flight_departure:

Someone should make that frame in real. Not the rocket stuff, just the frame.

Why?

It reminded me of this.

EDIT: I used to think that these were real b!kes, but they‘re just digital ones - they‘re made in CAD according to the sketches. I‘m pretty sure that I came along the website of a frame builder who built an actual frame in a similar setting.
