Uni day in Kidderminster

I was just wondering, how many people are expected on Saturday at the Unicycle day in Kidderminster? I haven’t been to anything like this before, so i was just wondering what to expect, especially if i have to drive for 3 hours to get there. Any advice would be appreciated.

The last one (in December) was my first. I was certainly not disappointed.
It was a 3 1/2 hour drive there and a 4 1/2 hour drive back cos I took the
wrong motorway (d’oh). (Every minute a pleasure in my Mini though :o) Make
sure you get directions from Multimap.com or something and some printouts
of some maps if you don’t have maps for the area. Kidderminster’s got this
weird ring-road thing. Last time I think there were over 50 people of all
skill levels… … and LOADS of unicycles. IUF skills tests, an obstacle
course, hockey, basketball, gladiators, a social ride around town, a
free-practice area available all day, etc. As the speil says, this one’s
got a trials theme so I might learn to jump usefully. Well worth £8.00 and
the drive down/up/over there.

Going on past uni meets you can expect to see between 30 and 50
unicyclists in a sports hall, sometimes all doing thier own thing,
sometimes taking part in more structured stuff like hockey or a
game/competition type thing.

Its a good chance to meet people, bug better riders for tips, show off
stuff you can do, practise stuff you just learnt and try out things for
the first time. If you have never tried Uni hockey before, try it there.
If you have never palyed uni Stuck in the Mud, try it there.

Advice would be to try every thing you can. Take part in as much as you
can to the best of your ability, even if yu think you will be rubbish at
it. The games are fun, the workshops normally have a degree of abillity
level indication given and the natives are friendly.

If you have ever been to one day Juggle convention, this is the
Unicycle version.

see you there Yes I am going afterall. sarah
