Forthcoming Muni events in the UK
Summer 1999
June 26th Sandwell Park, NrBirmingham. Red Bull mountain mayhem event, including
a 24 minute Muni race at dusk on saturday. Raced on a 1 km circuit the aim to
cover a many laps as possible in the time allowed. Lap counters, timekeepers ,
racer bibs and scoresoard all as used on the main 24 Hr race at the same event.
Also a trade stand for us to promote unicycling as a sport. 1st prize - rumored
to be a one off suspension Pashley (TBC) other prizes - Red Bull, Red Bull, Red
Bull… cost - A 3 pound donation to SPOCKS childrens charity Wheel Sizes - up
to 28 inch

July 3rd &4th Noth York Moors, Polaris summer challenge, this orienteering style
competion is really a bike event but Muniers are welcome to enter. Ride for up
to 7 hrs on Sat and 5hrs on Sun to collect as many checkpoints as you can reach.
This is not a novices event. cost - approx 24 pounds +map, incs camping wheel

July 8th-12th Haslev, Denmark. Eurocycle, the european unicyle convention
Not in the UK but not too far away. Lots of unicyclists, lots of
games,races,hockey and uni orienteering. cost - aprox 350 danish Kroner incs
food and indoor camping wheel sizes - different limits for different things
NB You should register for this before June 14th , late reg may not be possible

July 10th + 11th, Chopwell Woods , Nr Gateshead. A forest Enterprise family
event with craft and folk demos, stalls, woodland skills displays and a unicycle
friendly attitude, previous years have seen uni social rides and racing. This

September 3rd-5th. North Wales, British Unicycle Convention. The essential Welsh
weekend for all uniers, space and plans for hockey, tricks, danceing, games and
muni. Local muni riding in Snowdonia national park.
