Truth in advertising (schwinn on ebay)

If you’ve been looking for a unicycle with an unbendable wheel you should
check out http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1842647292

The seller claims it has a titanium wheel (haha) that will never bend.

Somehow I think the seller may be unable to distinguish between blue
anodized aluminum and titanium. (I could be wrong, maybe it really is
titanium). It is a nice looking schwinn though.

well Aluminum natuarally contains trace amounts of Titanium in it. I have seen Aluminum golf clubs and such advertized as titanium for this reason… perhaps he’s trying to pull the same thing
chex

If Schwinn ever put a titanium wheel on one of its unis, I think the starting bid on Ebay for such a “classic” would be a lot higher than 76 bucks.

Anyhow, if it’s so “unbendable”, how’d they get it into a wheel shape in the first place?

I did a quick search and couldn’t find any titanium wheels… so I was wondering (again), what with the festish for titanium components, howcome (aside from price) nobody’s made a titanium rim?

There is no reason aside from price. Price, though… owie.
