Does anyone ever go inside Hot Topic? They have these shirts that say “Rock is dead. Long live paper and scissors.” Are these just making a joke about rock paper scissors? Or do they actually mean “the genre of rock is dead”, and then add in the funny part?

The most recent song on the list is from 1987. I can’t think of any rock songs from the past decade that would be worthy of being in a top 10 or even a top 50 list.
I can agree for the most part with Obie’s list. Such a list will always change a little depending on mood, but that’s a good core list of songs. I’d replace I Can’t Get No Satisfaction with something else though. I’m not a big fan of the Stones.
I’m pretty sure Touch of Grey was earlier than 1987…indeed, Wikipedia says it was first performed in 1982, but it reached the Top 10 in 1987.
