It’s really good. You’re welcome.

Thankyou. Thankyou alot.

I am waiting for this album to come out in Aus and this shall tide me over

I am in love with this CD. I have been searching for it all day once I had it leaked on the radio in Chicago yesterday.

i just listened to the first song and it was nice

Thankyou once again.

My pleasure.

They have songs that aren’t Seven Nation Army?

Indeed!! and some pretty good ones if you ask me;)
I can’t listen to those new tracks yet:(

i love that icky thump song. its awesome. i love how its so random.
i really like the white stripes first album.
they’re really good.

the first first, or the second first? the first one didn’t really go anywhere at all. the second was quite good i thought and the thrid was about the same. Yet the first first was not stricly an album…

Jack White is going to beat your ass!

Probably.

it’s billed as a single now

Yah-hee, icky thump
Who’d-a thunk?
Sittin’ drunk
On a wagon to Mexico

Her hair, what a chump
And my head
Got a bump
When I hit it on the radio

Red-head señorita
Lookin’ dead
Came to said,
“I need a bed” en español

So I gave a drink of water
I’m gonna sing around the collar
Well, I don’t need a microphone

[guitar solo]
[keyboard solo]

Icky thump, with the lump
In my throat
Grab my coat
And now it’s reckon
I was ready to go

Yeah, I swam beside the hair
She had one white eye
[ Icky Thump lyrics found on http://www.completealbumlyrics.com ]
One blank stare
Lookin’ up, lyin’ there

On a stand in her hair
Was a candy cane
Black rum, sugar cane
Dry eye, somethin’ strange!

La la, la la la la la la la la la laaa laaa laaa

[keyboard solo]

Well, Americans:
What, nothin’ better to do?
Why don’t you kick yourself out?
You’re an immigrant too.

Who’s usin’ who?
What should we do?
Well you can’t be a pimp
And a prostitute too

Icky thump, handcuffed to a bunk
Robbed blind
Looked around
And there was nobody else

Left alone
I hit myself with a stone
Went home
And learned how to clean up after myself

Does anone listen to the sabatours/Racontours? did they only bring out one album? or is there another i not have?

Yeah the Raconteurs only have 1 album…so far that is.

Thanks, they had to change their name in Aus cause we already have one band called the racountours(sp?)

Really, thats crazy?

realy really

WITHOUT PREJUDICE

Dear Unicyclist Bloggers,

On behalf of XL Recordings and Jack & Meg, we would kindly ask you NOT to post unreleased WHITE STRIPES links on these threads / loops. Regrettably, should you do so DMCA notifications shall be forwarded to the site and take-down action shall follow : naturally, however, we hope that this shall not prove to be necessary.

As you may be aware, traffic on this (unreleased) album is being monitored and removed … … and not just by Web Sheriff, but also by Warners and their attorneys so, if you have to indulge in this activity (which Jack and Meg would rather you didn’t), then do it off-line / do not ‘broadcast’ it via blogs ; otherwise your details will be harvested and you may be hearing from Warners and / or the RIAA.

On behalf of the artist’s label, we do appreciate that - of course - you are fans of / are promoting THE WHITE STRIPES but, by the same token, you must also appreciate that, by posting a pirate copy of the album or tracks from the album pre-release (or linking to pirate copies), you are potentially causing considerable inconvenience and we are sure that you would not want to be personally responsible (or liable) for all of the resulting damage and disruption.

Thank you for respecting the artist’s and label’s wishes and, if you want good quality, non-pirated preview tracks, NME magazine in conjunction with XL Recordings are now offering “Icky Thump” (the single) and “Rag and Bone” on coloured vinyl with the current issue of NME. If you want these tracks before release, simply buy / get hold of a copy of NME, but please do not then put these tracks into unauthorised, digital distribution … … not only would this be failing to reciprocate the gesture of goodwill / trust shown by the artist and label in giving these vinyl, collectors’ items to fans ahead of release, but you’d also highly likely to land yourselves in trouble further down the line when other ‘parties’ take-over the role of copyright enforcement (with very different methods).

Whilst writing, we’d add that we’re not at all against free music BUT, at the end of the day, it should be (and is) the artist’s decision as to whether or not they effectively allow the unauthorised distribution of their album on-line before release - as it’s THEIR MUSIC !! For the avoidance of doubt, the recent Q101 broadcast was NOT authorised (so there are no double standards applying here).

The album’s release is just over a week away now, so thanks, once again, for your co-operation and understanding (and patience)

As you will appreciate, this e-mail - containing, as it does, a position that is potentially prejudicial to our clients’ open / formal position - is written on a without prejudice basis and, as such, all of our clients’ accumulated, worldwide rights remain strictly reserved : please excuse this required formality.

With Thanks & Regards,

WEB SHERIFF
