The Gas Price Thread

Gas prices in the US are skyrocketing.

Post how much you just paid for a gallon of gas and where you are. As gas prices go up and down, post again. Later, we can look back on this thread. Be sure to mention what grade of gas you bought (the names vary).

Round to the nearest penny. And feel free to talk about gas prices, the reasons for price fluctuations, how gas prices affect your life, etc.

southern New Jersey - $3.08 medium grade (yesterday)

Bellevue WA - $2.84 low grade (87 octane) 9/1

Lots of other cities have similar sites tracking local gas prices.

houston - (87 octane) 8/29 $2.49… 8/30 $2.79… 8/31 $2.89… 9/1 $2.99

it’s only going to get worse. we could always walk, but paying $3 to get 20 or 30 miles down the road seems like a better deal.

3.35 regular. AHHHH

Thursday, Sept 1, 2005 paid $2.89 for Regular. South-Central Jersey.
(It was $3.17 at the same place later that day.)

$2.99 for regular in San Antonio

Here in Canada (Montreal, and many other areas), we are paying:
1.349 CDN/liter of regular gasoline
3.785 liters/gallon
0.844 USD/CDN

The equivalent of:

$4.31 USD per gallon

gasbuddy

hamilton ont canada. 1.42/ltr

Here in Newfoundland, Canada, the pumps are at 1.48/L.

It’s not too bad though - my house is located pretty much in the middle of everything, next to the mall, the group of big-box stores, fast food, university, and other crap I might want to get to. I can usually uni around to get what I want.

The only crappy part is that my girlfriend lives 15 minutes away. ah well :stuck_out_tongue:

I used to drive around for no reason anyhow, and if I stop doing that now, the gas bill is about the same.

$2.77 here, used to be $2.39 two weeks ago…

But us, we live 15 miles from the nearest gas station, 15 miles from the nearest grocery store, and 50 miles from the nearest ‘big’ city. So we do a LOT of driving.

your lucky you have a very “low” price compared to where I live, but I live pretty close to everything.

In my town of Sandusky, OH it is 3.28 for regular.

I’ve seen on a picture that in Atlanta, Georgia there paying 5.87 for regular

Well that was wednesdays price. No doubt its gone up since then.

it’s $2.89 here…I’m just glad I can’t drive yet (:
I think these prices might have something to do with why I have procrastinated for the last year or so on getting my license…

I filled up my work van on Thursday 9/1/05. $2.99 the total cost was $84.00. Fortunately, I have a company gas card, and don’t have to pay for it myself.

One benefit: the gas prices create new unicyclists

and more!

Reno: 3.15-3.55
Carson City: 3.01-3.55

shoot, that didn’t turn into an image…
