A woman in a film does not need to be super attractive/hot, beautiful, whatever, nor should her looks be the main factor you should look at.

Haha, this is not exactly Shakespeare! It’s meant to be fun, escapist fare, where the characters are bigger than life, lots of action and just plain fun! I’m clearly in the majority of those (mostly guys lol) that want a hot female lead that at least warrants attraction from BATMAN!

I wonder how many women these days would look back at a Humphrey Bogart film and think “Ew, what were they thinking casting him as a leading man?”

Too bad she didn’t look anything like that in the movie, and even that’s not hot. The only negative thing I heard from people after the movie and since was about how UNattractive she was. It’s all over the internet as well. Yes, there are some who think she was just fine and dandy in the role, but there is soooo much controversy over her casting, it’s enough to realize that casting her was a bad choice. It’s the single reason I won’t see the movie again…unless I go on an empty stomach!:o Signed, “Male chauvinist Pig”. 
It didn’t stop me from liking the movie, but seriously, it broke the realism for me. Handsome Harvey Dent and multi-millionaire Bruce Wayne are fighting over her? For a big, blockbuster action flick, the eye candy wasn’t sweet enough. Just sayin’

For those who say looks don’t really matter, let’s take it to a rediculous extreme. Would you say the same thing if they had cast Rosie O’donnel in the role of “Rachel”?

I think she just added a bit of realism. Angliena Jolie would have ruined the movie.

Hell nah, I see a LOT of very cute, attractive girls, even just while working. There’s something about Miss G up there that turns me off…I think it’s mostly her cheeks, and her eyes never seem fully open.
Amazing movie…but the preview of Watchmen at the beginning had me thinking about it the entire movie. I hope they do Watchmen justice and it appears they will!
