yeah..
like a unispin..some people get really high when they do one and some just get barely off of the ground…
woah, this thread been here nearly over a months, and this is the first time i’ve ever seen it… how odd, as i come on almost everyday
i love street, i learnt how to catch crankflips early down three. not that good but oh well, but i hurt myself 2 before getting it on film. pedals kept hitting me in the same spot really hard in the calf, owww.
Of course I say that then later I went to ride again and the bearing protector things are rubbing on my bearing holders, its really annoying. I took one off but I need another spacer in there or the bearing doesnt stay there and the frame moves all over the place, so I put it back on.
That’s great, catching early helps alot. You should start doing smaller sets and eventualy flat. Also, what’s your name?
yeh i can sort of catch flips early, definetly is easier and feels good when you cach one cleanly, but have you lot re learnt em for each individual flip trick ?
Yeah, but it’s always gonna be easier to catch a hick once you’ve learnt to catch a straight flip.
Plus, alot of it is to do with confidence, once you’ve got the self belief to catch a flip, you’ll feel alot better about catching hicks, tres etc.

How about lets let stairs be stairs. And film what’s desired, and judge “coolness” or what not from there. No point naming stairs for the type other then long or steep, tall or short.

+1 for me.
You can pretty much tell by looking if a stair is normal sized, or wider, whatever. It’s simple.
what are some skateboarding equivalents of unicycle tricks?
kickflip- crankflip
When I write these down, I am putting unicycle trick first, then skateboard trick… theres a reason for you needing to know that, mostly with the word varial.
Crankflip - Kickflip
Hickflip/Outflip - Varial Flip or Hardflip
Treyflip - 360 flip, 3 flip or tre flip… whatever you want to call it, and in some cases, it could be more paralleled to a 360 hardflip
Varial flip - Bigspin flip
Sex Change - Sex Change
180 flip - Frontside/Backside flip
Please note that I fully believe that unicycling is in itself its own sport with its own tricks haha… but a lot of the trick names do look similar to skateboarding tricks.
Kevin McMullin
unispin-shove it
And ironically…
Smallspin (uni) - Bigspin (skatebaord)
Kevin
I guess most of that would be right… but… I use to skate and it took me around about 2 weeks to learn to kickflip and took me almost a year to learn crankflips on a uni.
thanks. ok i will. i think i have caught them on flat once or twice. but accidentally. I’m Reef.
probs cos you gotta learn how to ride the thing first.
man the paint job’s cool (your avatar), how’d you do it?
How’d I do it, V insperational. Its just a whole bunch of stickers taped on ^^
Love you Kevin, busting out all the names.
Yeah all those names are perfect. Some more corrosponding names.
Blind hickflip - hardflip
Hickbackflip - Varial heelflip
Blind Hickbackflip - Inward Heelflip
Treybackflip - Laserflip
360flip - 360 kickflip
Frontside and Backside tricks corrospond to regular and blind. However the difficulty of the fs and bs relate to the skater, some find it easier to do bs easier than fs, and the other way around.
Stances (which doesn’t work well for a relation)
Board / Uni
Normal - Normal
Fakie - Fakie
Switch - Switch
Nollie - Fakie Switch (really dumb)
impossible (flip the frame around the wheel while riding) = double backflip
Sorry 'bout intruding here, I don’t belong because I’m not very good yet and this isn’t about skating, but I have a question. Okay, so it’ll seem very dumb, but I would like to see someone find a massive rail to grind that’s high enough to get on and flip the frame in a circle before the end of the grind. I hope that made sense to someone. I don’t think anyone could/would do it, but it’s a cool idea to me nonetheless.
