Stolen Kris Holm 36" and Qu-Ax 29", Trondheim Norway

Update: The Qu-Ax 29" is found, KH 36" is still missing.

My Kris Holm 36” and Qu-Ax 29” got stolen from the backyard where I live in Trondheim, sometime between 30. October and 5. November, while I was out of town. They where both locked down, but these cheap locks are easy to cut.

Would appreciate if you could be on the lookout for these, in case they should show up for sale somewhere.

The KH36 had magura HS33 rim brakes and a KH T-Bar handle installed. The nightrider tire had a lot of cracks in the sidewalls, with pieces starting to fall out, and should really have been replaced.

The Qu-ax 29” is an old steel frame model with magura hs33 brakes. It also had a Koxx One Alien backflip saddle, which I believe is quite rare at this point.

why do you even keep them outside? I know most peeps don’t ride unicycle, but they would still steal them if they get the chance. Back when my office was closer to home and I would take the uni to work, I would place it next to my desk.
Quite sh@##ty if they’d get stolen. I hope you can get yours back. Have you tried at the municipality if they perhaps decided they needed to be cleared.

I don’t have a good place to keep them inside, it’s a hassle to carry them up the stairs, and to be honest, I didn’t really think someone would bother stealing them. They are both quite old and worn, and since unicycling is a niche thing, it’s a bit more difficult to resell than regular bikes.

The municipality wouldn’t come and clear out bikes from the backyard here. It’s a private property, but it’s not closed down, so anyone can just wander in.

Quite a nightmare. Unicycles are part of the family, though I might be the only one who thinks that way at home

The qu-ax 29" was found a couple of days ago. Someone found it and posted a picture in a local Facebook group.
KH 36 is still missing, hopefully it will also show up again.

That’s brilliant news!

I don’t know what goes through some people’s heads when they think about stealing niche items like unicycles. Was it just dumped somewhere or did someone try to sell it?

yeah that would be silly. stealing a unicycle and then posting it for sale on a Unicycle page. It is so niche that the owner is very likely to recognise it and report it. Is it still in a good state?

Yeah, I’ll buy it, I’ll meet you at the police station!

It was just dumped.

The hose for the magura brake was snapped and it had some small damages around the seatpost clamp, seems like they tried to get it off with a flathead screwdriver, and the cheap bike lights that were mounted, was missing.
The tube was deflated, but not punctured.
Overall, not much worse than it used to be, except for the brake.
It’s been used a lot in the winter, with lots of rain, snow and salt, so it was fairly rusty to begin with. I don’t think there is any grease left in the bearings anymore .
