Three rides in and it’s official: I hate the Fusion Zero saddle on my KH36. It is way too narrow and hard for my taste. I would expect something like this on a freestyle unicycle, not a touring unicycle. I am probably going to pick up a Fusion Freeride for my 36er, though I may try a Nimbus Air saddle because they intrigue me.
As a result of this disappointment, I am looking to sell my Fusion Zero Saddle. I also have a Fusion Slim lying around that I bought from Unipsycho a few months back, and I would sell it to anyone interested so I can fund the new saddle for my 36er. The Slim is in almost perfect condition. The Zero has some scratches on the handle from previous owner. No idea how they got there, since the unicycle has a handlebar that would eat a fall, and the thing looks almost unridden, but I digress.
Either saddle would be best suited for a 19” unicycle, IMO, but of course if you are interested in it then you can do whatever you please with it. I would also be willing to trade one or both of the saddles for a Fusion Freeride and/or a current gen Nimbus Air Saddle. If you are interested in a trade, HMU and we can work something out.
Asking $50 + shipping for the Slim ($10 under the price when I bought it).
Asking $40 + shipping for the Zero because of the scratches on the handle.
$80 + shipping takes both.
Shipping will be actual cost for whatever shipping method you prefer. PayPal G&S only, and I will eat the cost. Let me know if you have any questions, or want to see more pictures. Thank you for your consideration.
Update: to be clear, the Zero saddle does not come with handlebars, seatpost, or any other additional components. I am just lazy, so I took pictures of the saddle still attached to my uni.
I suppose I could. I tend to hoard spare parts, but I don’t need it. The only time I would use it would be to swap out the post in my 29er with the Nimbus Shadow setup so my wife could ride it, and I don’t think she has any aspirations of riding anything bigger than my 24”. A guy can dream though.
Sorry, no interest. Just trying to help fellow unicyclists to keep or get parts that work together
I ask because it seems strange to me that you want to part with the Fusion Zero saddle, while keeping the pivotal seat post that can’t be used with traditional banana-shaped saddles.
When you say you may want to swap the post in your 29er, would that be to use a Fusion Zero or Fusion One saddle? If that’s not the case, then this seat post would be useless for you.
The Nimbus Shadow handle uses a pivot seat post, and is configured to accept a regular 4 bolt pattern seat. You buy it as a set with a longer pivot seatpost, but my wife barely clears 5’, so I am almost certain she could use a 36er post in my 29er. Again though, just a fantasy, because she doesn’t have any interest in distance riding on the unicycle, and as such does not have any interest in riding my 29er. It is more of a novelty to her, while I am the one going head over heels for the hobby. I asked her about trying out my 29er now that I got my 36er, and she turned me down. Here is a link to what I am talking about in case you are unfamiliar. https://www.unicycle.co.uk/unicycle-parts/handles/nimbus-shadow-handle-set.html
Edit: looking at the specs of the shadow handle now, I realize the seatpost would be worthless for a totally different reason than you were thinking. It mentions that KH unicycles use 27.2mm seatposts, and I just checked my new uni to confirm. This is my first KH, and I didn’t know that KH uses a 27.2 seatpost. It won’t fit my Nimbus anyway.
Oooh, I have learned something today! Sorry for my previous messages, I didn’t know about the base using a pivotal seat post. Thanks for the explanation!
No problem, no offense. The only reason I even know the shadow handle exists is because whoever owned my Nimbus before the guy I bought it from must have been a Unipacker. He (or she) put it on there, and the previous owner didn’t know jack about it. I had to look it up to figure out what it was. At the time, I didn’t even know what a pivotal seat post was! I still don’t know much about unicycling overall. Case in point: I didn’t know KH uses 27.2mm seatposts! I am liable to continue asking and learning from experienced riders like you, so all is good!
The zero has been replaced by the one, but mine is a zero. I bought an older KH36 from a guy who bought it and then barely rode it. It is a time capsule. I am pretty sure it is from the last time KH made blue unicycles, before they switched to black and then back to blue. No idea the year.
