Ah, yoopers has discovered the Zen of Spam! Although, it could be said that “generic Spam” is the Walmart of meat products… I’m sorry to hear that you have to compromise your taste buds in the name of economy. Should I package up a case of Spam and ship it out to you & yours for the holidays?
I tried the Cadillac of Spam-like dishes, beef aspic, at a gourmet restaurant (it was served as course #2 of 5)… and I just about coughed it up. Ecch. The meat / fat / gelatin / unidentifiable material ratio of Spam is just right. A testament to its legacy on the shelves of supermarkets worldwide.
I was raised on Spam’n’eggs as a child, and I believe that this diet has led to my amazing intellect and physical abilities. I’m amazed that I have any.
We have a convert! Halley-loo-yuh! Next time try the “low sodium” Spam… I agree that the standard Spam is pretty salty.
