Uhm… I wimped out and rode a two-wheeled contraption. Don’t tell anybody.
Congrats on the cash Steve, bummer about the 36’er!
Also have been reading the stories on your blog re Whiteface Uphill race, awesome stuff. I visited a friend in Albany last year and headed up to the Adirondacks, what a great part of the world to live in. Are you doing it again this year?
Hey, Pete. Glad you like my write-ups. I usually spend a good bit of time trying to record every little detail, so you must be a patient guy to wade through all that verbosity!
No, I can’t do Whiteface this year, but I think a few unis will be there, gunning for Rolandisimo’s record.
You guys rode up Whiteface, the least I can do is read about it
(Actually, now I remember there was a news clipping or something like that, about guys unicycling up the mountain in a display cabinet at the top of Whiteface, I guess that was you and/or the other guys?)
I was completely blown away by the Adirondacks, the sheer size, endless mountains, water systems. That was some serious vision, when it was declared ‘forever wild’. I wish we had done more of that in Australia
Yeah, I was the first ever unicycle in that race, and those pics at the castle are me, from the first year I did it.
