Schwalbe Billy Bonkers

I want to buy a new tire for my Nimbus 26” Road unicycle. The Kenda 26x2.1 tire is “fine”, but I do like the feel of something with a little more volume. I like the Schwalbe Big Apple on my 29” Road unicycle, so I searched for the 26” equivalent.

That is when I came across the Schwalbe Billy Bonkers 26x2.25. I really like the look of the tire, but am hoping someone has tried it.

@ruari , I searched for your posts about your tire that looks similar, but was unable to find those posts, so I’m not sure which tire that is.

Has anyone tried a Billy Bonkers tire?

Currently, my “short list” is the following:

Schwalbe Big Apple 26x2.4 (60-559)

Maxxis Holy Roller 26x2.4

Schwalbe Billy Bonkers 26x2.25

The Billy Bonkers tire looks like this.

The Big Apple looks like this:

I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread being that I’ll probably get a new tire for my 26" next year :face_with_monocle:

I do like the look of the Nobby Nic, my only concern might be that the smaller knobs might wear quicker than something like the Big Apple. I’d still probably run it if it rides nice though! :uni:

The Nobby Nic does look like a great tire, for Muni.

I am looking for a road tire that can also possibly be used for gravel, sometimes. It would be great if the road/gravel tire has a little bounce, and low rolling resistance on pavement.

D’oh, I typed Nobby Nic when I meant Billy Bonkers  Typing the right name is challenging when it’s late and you’re looking at the Schwalbe catalogue of goofy names
