Scenic unicycling

Part of my route this morning dropped down to the head of Eagle Harbor. It was
a very low tide and a murder of crows were collecting mussels and lining them
up along the right lane of traffic. The crows were milling around at the edge
of the road with their hands in their pockets, waiting for cars. When a car
ran over a mussel, they’d all cheer and one or two would fight over the
now-crushed mussel.

I tried to hit a mussel as I rode by, but the mussel slipped out from under my
tire. The crows were not impressed.

Dave, I know crows and just because they didn’t cheer doesn’t mean they where
not impressed. Steve
