Savage 5 Foot Giraffe

Bearing in mind that I am familiar with the saying that “you get what you pay
for” can anyone comment on the 5’ Savage giraffe for sale at UnicycleSource.

I’d really like to have a giraffe and can’t lay out the $400 for a Miyata or Sem
and keep getting outbid on eBay.

Has anyone ridden one, owned one or have any thoughts, preferably based on
actual experience with one, at all?

Many thanks, Raphael Lasar Matawan, NJ

Re: Savage 5 Foot Giraffe

Gilby was definately right to make that ET shirt with a giraffe unicycle… you
really are flying

As for your juggling… it’s a ton easier to juggle on a giraffe than it is on a
shorter uni. Actually idling in general is a good deal easier on the giraffe.

Now, riding a giraffe in the basement will be interesting  I had some fun on
my 6’ in the living room

Re: Savage 5 Foot Giraffe

My seatpost used to twist a lot but that was an esy one to solve! I would like
to have a better giraffe too, but at the price of the Savage, I can afford to
buy another if it breaks. The seat is lame. Stay on Top! Steve

Re: Savage 5 Foot Giraffe

Thanks to all who provided insight/advice on the Savage 5’ Giraffe. I’ve decided
to go ahead and buy one.

I had a chance to ride a 5 footer a couple of months back and the experience was
simply put, a total rush. Like a number of life’s experiences, if you never do
it you don’t miss it, but once tried you’re hooked. I’ve been practicing idling
and juggling clubs (which I’m able to do in the basement during the cold winter
weather) and hope to be able to put them together on the giraffe this summer.

Thanks again to all!

while…but whatever…on to the giraffe…
well i just
purchased the savage five foot giraffe…and have been very pleased with it…i
opted to go for the viscout saddle…although i had been riding my 20" savage
for two yers and was kinda used to the saddle…but the viscout is
definately better…as for quality…its a savage…i mean its a great
price…(espicialy for an eight grader) …and i can even hop about
three inches on it …now the only injury i have recieved so far from it is
when i was assembling it i ran my right index finger throught the crank
wheel(ouch!)…other wise i rode it the ffirst day i got it…and i free
mounted it on the third day(!)…and with in 2 weeks (now) i can freemount it
withouth fail…(i’m wondering if this is fast i whould assume it is but what
do i know…)all in all i love my five foot uni! its so much fun, you get
more stares than normal(lol)…

hope this helps!,
by the way i’m chance(male) and ive been riding
for about 2 1/2 years on a savage 20" and a new 5’ giraffe…i’m about a
level four if i could do my mounts better…note: thats not official
…i live a stonesthrow from the unicycle.com house (the’re coool!) …
oh and i do trials…i can hop up 3 pallets…but only with the seat in
(that is to say not with the sseat out in front)…well thats a long
sig…
laterz
Chance
</html
