Ride the Lobster!

Are there any riders in Halifax or anywhere else for that matter, looking for team mates for this summer’s ride the lobster in Nova scotia? I was thinking of entering but I really don’t know anyone else in my area who rides.
Anyone interested in a relatively inexperienced rider for a ridiculously long race next summer?

I know how you feel

I’m in New Brunswick. Same boat, can’t find other unicyclist to ride long distances.

For training why not gather some biking friends to join you.
Warn them you are slower but will be traveling longer distances.

At the moment I’m training on my 29" till my new 36" arrives.

You guys live a hop skip and a jump apart, why not train together, find a third rider somewhere and make a team?

I wish I was so lucky, neither of my teammates live within a thousand km of me.

And this should really go in RSU since it is very much unicycle related

I knew of a few who lived in Yarmouth NS at one point. I tried to get in touch with them recently, but found out they moved out west.

I guess my arrival back in Yarmouth a couple months ago works out well with this events. I will take a few pictures and might see if I can get a hold of a video camera or two.

At least something interesting will happen down here this summer.

Why is it called Ride the Lobster?

Because the land mass called Nova Scotia (I don’t think it’s an island)is shaped like a lobster…more or less. And I suppose because the best lobsters in the world (yummy) come from Nova Scotia!!

First of all, I wish to thank you very much for answering my question.

Not to seem at all ungrateful, but I think it’s shaped like a Rorschach Inkblot, and so it could be LOTS of things.

Certain things about it do not really fit the outline of a Lobster, don’t you agree?

I totally agree! Maybe only the lobster lobbyists can see it clearly.
Anyway, I didn’t say it looks like a healthy lobster!!!
