I read an article about a company called ReTyre that is making sustainable bike tires. Definitely a cool concept, but what caught my eye is their manufacturing process and what it could potentially mean for odd-size wheels. They also have a zip-on studded tire that was used by another member here on the forum with mixed results a few years ago.
They manufacture tread in strips, then cut to length and bond the strips to form the final tire. Depending on the interest, it could immediately open up a range of tread patterns for 32" and 36" unicycles. (I see 6 tread patterns in the photos in the article)
They have some cool pictures in the attached article, but seems they are currently only working with OEMs, not direct to consumer.
