i think on a giraffe it is very important to wear knee protection in the beginning. Before the last Saturday I drove only normal unicycles, but now I’m training with a 180cm giraffe too…
It’s very very high…but, no risk, no fun.

i still feel quite safe and confident just using wrist protectors
i’ve noticed (esp on the giraffe) that my dismounts (planned or not) r more and more controlled and even off-road i find that i can stop myself from requiring major reconstructive surgery using only my hands
as long as they r protected, i feel safe
