If fixed it, at least for now. Here’s the pictures and story:

I’d been wanting to paint my frame as well. I couldn’t bring myself
to fork out the big bucks for powder coating, and I was unsure how
long any sort of spray-paint would last. Now that my frame’s days
are numbered, I decided to go with a low tech paint job.

I scrubbed it with steel-wool and TSP, followed by a nice bath in
HCl, then a nice scrub with wet-dry sandpaper. I primed it, then
used a colour-match automotive spray-paint. I used “forest green”
to match a '77 GM. Finally I went over it with a couple of coats
of clear-coat.

So far so good.

thats a good idea for fixin it, never thougth of it myself. So is it a norco uni that yo bought that broke? cuz from what i see it looks the same as mine and it broke in teh exact same places as mine. ok later.

So if you fix it, are you going to change your User name? Some suggestions: FixedFrame, The Unicyclist formerly known as BrokenFrame, and HandyUnicycleFixerUper.

Mine was an un-branded generic Taiwanese job. I expect they’re
all made in the same factory. If you want a chunk of my pipe
to make your own plates, you’re welcome to it.

See you,
