Quick release through axle?

Wouldn’t quick release bearings make more sense for rapid wheel changes?

Hey, I made this quick-release bearing holder (see picture). The parts are all off-the-shelf, and cost about $15 per holder. The machining was so simple even I could do it. I made 4 in about 1.5 hrs, but most of that was head scratching time. My friend Walt (www.waltworks.com) is going to weld up a frame with these, so I’ll let you know how it works out. [lores.jpg]
