Quick question about Moment inserts

Just real quick,

On KH Moment cranks, how much play can those little inserts have when tightening and loosening pedals?

Mine are only 3 days old, and I noticed on my right crank when I went to take a pedal off, the insert is slipping just a bit. I can still tighten the pedal, but this worries me as Moments aren’t cheap. Will these be fine? They are Dual Hole and I may be tightening and loosening pedals a bit moving them between holes, and I don’t want to ruin my cranks. :frowning:

Thanks for the help and the newb question.

If you have the tools I would take it apart, throw some red loctite in there then tighten it back up. If you don’t have the tools a bike shop should be able to do it for you.

The new not-yet-announced/released-but-everyone-knows-about-them-moments are going to be sans insert.

Okay, fair enough!

I found a thread that mentioned making the tool (Spanner wrench?) so I made one from screws and plywood. Just put the loctite on and tightened them as good as they’ll go. Hopefully no more problems…

Should I wait the full 24 hours to let it cure, or am I good to ride?

Thanks!
