You may know that a vital community needs some “fresh blood” from time to time. Unicyclist.com needs new and active users to keep the activity level high and to prevent it from falling asleep like it did in the beginning of the year.
If you like our forum and want to keep it alive, i kindly ask you to promote it to as many other unicyclists you can. Mention our forum in Facebook discussions or other social media and recommend it as a source for unicycle related information, recommend it to your club mates and any other unicyclist you know.
For this, I’d like to introduce the Invite function to you:
In your profile, you’ll find an Invites button in the top menu:
There you can create invites with the button. You have two possibilities:
Invite by link: you can create an invitation link that you can post on any other platform or website or in chats or mails.
Invite by Mail: you can write an invitation mail that will be sent from our website to any person you want.
The nice thing about this function is, that you are able to see if persons follow your invitation and register here.
Pending shows you your sent invitation mails
Redeemed shows you who registered after receiving the mail
Links shows you your created invitation links and the number of new users you created with it.
The “Create Invite Link” button is disabled. I thought of just posting a message on the unicycle groups on facebook and insta as a reminder. I don’t care about the badges, but there are never enough unicyclists.
when entering an email address, the Send Invite button becomes active, but when entering a custom text, the Create Invite Link is still disabled and turns my mouse in a red traffic sign icon. Also when deleting the email address, it still doesn’t trust me.
certainly don’t have 2 tabs there. So either you can made me admin, so I can place the link here and there attracting more members, or you can place it yourself in the various facebook groups. Everybody has facebook accounts and might be the first place to turn to for the younger generations. At least Google shows the unicyclist forum when searching anything unicycle related.
Thanks for the link though. I posted my text and the link on 8-ish facebook groups. Maybe should also find some bicycle-forums, but they are too boring to sign up to
awesome. I had actually expected people to complain in their facebook groups that I spam about other places to read about unicycles. Good to see it was worth doing it.
