Post Your MUni here!

Looks nice. I kinda like the way the rotor looks, almost like a saw blade.

I like it, frames need the welded tabs!

Any idea when they’ll be available? Weight? And where can you get them?

I wanna see how I like the Duro first, but with this being a 2.7, I’d be more likely to try the Dirt Wizard before the HDSG

I was told late this month early next month by the rep, and for weight he can’t tell, I got mine from qbp

What was the price? (If you don’t mind me asking).

Thanks for the info.

I got mine at cost, I can’t really tell that but not sure what msrp is yet

I understand. Hopefully it comes out soon so Ben can tell me if I need to buy it or not.

I think that’s how we all work

So, after getting some feedback on my set-up and asking about alternative seat options here’s my baby with a new KH Freeride seat and adjustable seat post.

I’ve set it up rather randomly to emulate the sort of tilt that I’ve seen others use to see what that feels like but plan to experiment plenty. Now, off to actually try it out!

UL

That is one Kewl looking Uni UL

I confess this seemed counter intuitive given the nut crushing issues that I and many others talk about but I note that many of the photos of other people’s uni’s have tilted up saddles. So what did I think. Aggggghhhhh…bejesus, how on gods green earth does anyone ride with a saddle in that position? I’m going to have to replace the adjustment screws on the seat post to try and bring the seat far enough back to the level to be comfortable.
I think the KH Freeride seat is probably very good but not at that angle. I got the nose down as far as I could and it still made my eyes water every time I mounted. On a positive note, it is seriously improving my launching technique as I’m highly incentivised to hop the leading foot onto the front pedal without any weight on the rear (or the saddle!).

UL

Skin tight cycling shorts keep everything in place (I wear 2 pair to keep everything really secure). Before going I reach down and pull everything up and in front, sometimes I have to readjust on the ride.

I also use Chamoix Butt’r to eliminate chaffing (no underwear). I put it in my own 2 oz squirt bottle diluted 50% so I can reapply on longer rides.

Heres my new Muni:

Oh wait, UPS hasn’t fricken delivered it yet…

Still!! Time to complain

I thought Australia Post was bad…

Hope yours arrives soon as do my parts if they ever turn up :frowning:

Seems like a lifetime of waiting when there is riding to get done! Dont they understand!!!

I looked and it arrived at the warehouse in my city last night. If UPS worked on Saturdays, it’d be here this morning. Oh well…

Well, it’s here. Have it mostly set up for now (all I’m doing tonight anyway). Still need to flatten the seat and add some Stans to my tube.

First impressions are that it’s small (glad I didn’t go 24), and the Duro is massive. Will have to take it out sometime this week or weekend.

Specs:

Nimbus II frame, 26" black
KH Street saddle black
KH Moment cranks, 165 mm
DMR V8 pedals black
Maggie brakes black (courtesy of Bryce)
Duro tire
Nimbus Hub
Other boring stock stuff

Really a stock muni with a couple add ons. Still seems to be a solid muni though. I want to ride it first before I draw any conclusions. I was going for an all black look with the seat, pedals, brake, frame, etc. I may still take 1/2 to 1" of seatpost off as well. Can’t decide if I want to be sitting a bit lower than I am now or not…

Anyway, here’s pics:

For Pure dh lower the better

Yeah, I know. But I’ll still be doing a lot of climbing on it as well, where I prefer a higher seat. I’ll probably cut an inch off and that should take care of it, I can always raise the seat.

@Killian, enjoy your new Muni!
