ℹ Post Unicycles for sale on other sites here!

The crank bolts and cranks kinda look cotterless to me - it’s the crank profile and bolt head rather than hex fitting but that might not mean anything. I know the Coker V2 had a 125mm 48h hub so they were made at some point.

That wheel would be fine - plenty of space… It was the old Nimbus X with a 48 spoke 20” wheel that would give me nightmares!

It’s described as a Penny Farthing wheel… so probably a PF hub. I’m pretty positive a 64h hub can be matched with a 48h rim. Heck, I’ve got a recumbent b!ke that has a 28h rim laced in a 32h hub - radially. Ok, it’s a front wheel with very little weight on it; not quite comparable to a unicycle wheel.

One of the members in my unicycle club asked if this would be an ok unicycle to buy.
Help identifying?

It’ll serve to learn and maybe learn some basic tricks, but that grade of unicycle won’t take much heavy use or abuse.

Ah, yes, a unicycle bike :cowboy_hat_face: One wheel short of a bicycle bike, two short of a tricycle bike

He also sent this. I can tell it is a good uni, but does anyone know of this brand, and if it has ISIS cranks?

Sun Extreme — ISIS. Seat is not for everyone.

I own this uni. It’s a pretty solid uni all around, but like the above said, the seat is rather uncomfortable. I didn’t even realize just how bad the Sun’s seat was until I rode a uni with a Kris Holm saddle.

I’m pretty sure the cranks are ISIS splined.

How much more difficult is it to ride one of these than a classic?

Three times ?

I guess it’s more or less the same as a giraffe of the same size, except maybe for mounting (the wheels possibly get in the way), and for being less agile due to the additional weight and rotating mass. Also, there is a lot more friction involved than in a chain drive.
Now a twice is a different beast - pedaling backwards to move forwards should be very interesting. That’s what intrigues me most about this offer: the trice can be converted into a twice :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:. And the starting price is pretty good in my view. Unfortunately I fear the consequences of bringing home another “unicycle”.

If space and money aren‘t a concern (and you can collect it in Switzerland):

Not a uni, I know. But hey, it’s a Penny Farthing!

Is that an original Penny Farthing?

I‘m not sure, but I tend to think so. The stamped writing and the fork that seems to be made of cast iron…

Yes,

A BC wheel for 25 Euro, in Altenmünster Germany.

Florian Schlumpf sells a boat load of square taper cranks of different lengths. Unfortunately only local pickup.

Why do you sell it? Is it too diffi to ride?

It’s not me selling it. I just tumbled upon this offer. I am bit tempted to buy it, because of the low price. But i cannot judge whether this particular BC would really work for me. E.g. for me it seems like the footholds are quite low, so they might quickly scratch on the asphalt when the wheel is tilt a bit.

And i am a bit scared of the learning process .
