Have been mainly riding my 36 for the last few months and thus my smaller unicycles still had winter tyres on. I decided to rectify that so I bought I new 29" tyre and stuck it on my “gold” unicycle. Ok, yeah it is not gold. That is just the colour URC claims this frame is. Actually it is more copper. Still… it looks nice anyway.
That side wall is a perfect compliment to the color of your frame.
This is my Koxx One Green Spirit, loic baud pro model. My research says that this model was made around 2008. I got it recently off Facebook Marketplace. I put an Impact Naomi saddle on it and more recently replaced the old TryAll pedals in the pictures with Nimbus flats.
Good find! You will love it!
I love the red rim.
I will buy your black Tryall pedals, if you ever want to sell them.
Here’s mine…
I also installed an Impact Naomi saddle (it’s an older model Naomi on a Velo base).
Sweet! I think the white saddle looks good with the frame. I still have the Tryall pedals. I replaced them because the bearings grind like crazy. I rebuilt them and the still ground, so I suspect the bearing races are shot. I really liked the platform, but the grinding made me not want to ride it, which is obviously not acceptable, since it’s a unicycle:)
Yeah, grinding is no good. TryAll pedals are tight when new and then loosen up. However, since you rebuilt them and they still grind I imagine you are correct and the bearing races are possibly worn out.
Enjoy your new Green Spirit, and post in the Today I (Brag) thread as you learn new tricks or overcome new obstacles/features.
My trio of unicycles,
I traveled around Australia in 2012/13 with my old KH24 “chromoly cranks” , I made a custom lockable carrier for my motorhome, now have a Guni 26” and a 36” as well all hanging out in my shed.
Ok these are all reposts but nice to see them all together in the same setup and with different weather conditions
My urban unicycles, loving to switch between them each day to explore the different possibilities of shorter and larger cranks and seatpost and wider or thicker tires.
I seam to enjoy building as well as riding unicycles but im not very good at selling them!
I brought a RGB frame a while ago which was going to be my freewheel frame but decided it was too pretty to be chucked around so i turned it into a fixed wheel.
RGB 27.5 frame ( improved brake mount for 203 rotors)
Raceface arc 35 rim 32h 27.5 ( white decals from silk graphics)
Schwalbe hans dampf 27.5 (set up tubeless)
Quax cnc hub
Quax 135 splined cranks
Quax eleven saddle
Shimano 8120 brake with 203 icetech rotor ( completely OTT but why not!!)
Blank metal pedals
I did bike to the beat (it is a bike event in my community to help raise money for our local homeless and food banks) I ended up going 50 miles on my 36er! Lots of fun!
This is my main wheel. I use it for Muni and distance.
It’s a Nimbus Muni 24”. I recently put on RaceFace Chester pedals. Just today, I finally added a brake! It’s a basic 2 piston Tektro brake with a 180mm disc and a KH lever mount.
Yesterday I broke the half marathon distance. Note: a duro wildlife is not the best tire for 13 miles of pavement😂.
I got a mail from Florian that he finally was able to find the time to assemble geared hubs this week. Guess my ordered hub should ship soon(-ish)? Not really sure I still need it, though, 'cause…
…a while ago, my 29er has been tuned for speed!
(still looking forward to the Schlumpf hub, though)
I have a work trip in Iceland, so I quickly packed the essentials.
I packed some clothes around the unicycle to protect it but … I suppose they’ll also be handy to … umm … wear?
This year I wasn’t asked if I was a clown by the people at oversized baggage after I explained what was in the bag.
Shame, my experience of clowns is that they are awesome people.
Too big a wheel for a clown… You should‘ve taken a 20er, ideally a giraffe
I just setup my G36 for upcoming cycle packing event “Sydney to Summit”
Sydney to Mt Kosciusko
I allowed myself 9 Days.
Just added VCX cranks with 100/125/150 holes and replaced the rubber tube with Foss blue tube (TPU?) and took out the puncture resistant strips.
The wheel is now 370g lighter.
I may take a 29" rubber tube for backup.
Good luck! Your setup looks very well put together. I’m interested to hear how you fare on hills riding a carbon G36 loaded down with gear.
