I did this, its annoying every time you mount. and if your feet come off the pedals, the pedal often flips, you land back on it and your foot flys off.
You are wearing off the pins, not coating it in wax. I know what you are talking about, my Jim Cs had pins removed from one side but really the twisteds are plenty grippy even with the pins worn off.

I agree with the other guys tho, even slippery as pedals have enough grip for riding so long as you dont step in some poop or water or something. I only care about my pedals being grippy when doing a big hop or something where landing might be sketchy, I’d happily do most street things with an oil slick on my pedals
I have to agree, I pulled the pins out one side of my onza pedal and it was a pain, something like jimi C’s might be ok because they have that knurled surface but the onzas rely totally on the pins, there’s no platform and they’re completely smooth otherwise.
