Pictures of your latest ride

Now that beats my local “Cursed Earth” hands down!

My first try at comic life with pics from my latest ride:
Unfortunately the writing is very small, so I hope you can read it.
Maybe I should upload it somewhere else first, so it 'll be full size.

Look Ma, I jumped me van :stuck_out_tongue:

Only a small van, mark you, but it is a van!

@ Munirocks: I like your comic, exept it’s really hard to read because it’s too small. Good job:p

Yes please. I’m hurting my eyes trying to read it :astonished:

Okay, let’s see if I can get this right.

Sorry, somehow I can’t get it any bigger on here. I’d have change the whole arrangement of pics and text to make it readable. Hang on…

What did that tree do to deserve incarceration? It must feel terrible surrounded by all of the free trees.

Two pictures from my latest ride

That is genius! I have never before considered the pitfalls of cow-unicycle love. Did you use comiclife or something or just do it by hand?

Joe

Thanks! Yeah, it’s done with comic life. Actually I wanted to add a couple of other things like red hearts and other stuff but I’m just getting to know the app. Here’s another try to get it full size:

It worked, now you should be able to read it.

A quick ride checking out some trails.

Rode 5 trails - first I rode some scary downhill trails that I have named ‘suicide’ and ‘divebomber’. The first one is obvious, it is very very steep with tight corners and some scary drops, the second one is very steep and fast, but not quite suicidal, so if you can hammer down it really fast, you can float over the roots and rocks and things. Oh and I rode some other nice singletrack on the way over to that lot.

Then I went over and rode The Wall again, this is one which I rode on my nightride that is described above, followed it up with one that is just ‘the middle trail’ to me, a nice quite technical but very flowing singletrack, with some lovely stream crossings, and a fabulously narrow and rooty and very very fast bit of track to finish, and then the one with the kitchen sink in the middle of it, which I did not manage to ride across - turns out that if you stick a kitchen sink in the middle of a load of rocks, with a steep up after it, it is quite hard to ride. It is a pity I didn’t ride it, as I had all manner of jokes in mind about me ‘cleaning the kitchen sink’, and now I have to spare everyone the hilarity. Going back again tomorrow with Spencer, maybe we will clean the kitchen sink then…

I then went home, got cleaned up and went out to meet up with my friend and have what is probably the best afternoon tea in the UK*, with two scones (fruit and normal) 3 petit fours each (teeny weeny little cakes) and proper leaf tea in fabulous pots.

Oh yeah, the picture is somewhere near the top of Divebomber, although my brain is frazzled so I can’t quite remember where.

Joe

*At “The Walk Cafe, Nottingham”. And I have tried an awful lot of cream teas in my research, this is almost certainly the best. Deffo better than the obvious fancy places in London.

Lovely photo in it’s own right, Joe.

Sherwood Pines, but further into the jungle than the plebs usually go.

New camera, so I’ve been experimenting a bit.

Exhausting ride deep into the forest today, then up to Spyglass Hill (3 UPDs - I was disgusted) then up onto the spoil heap, then back through the forest.

I’m tempted to pull the plug on this one, but I know a draining ride taps in to Joes psyche. Wash out for a ride report tomorrow!

What’re you basin that on? When I’ve met him, he’s been overflowing with enthusiasm.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see you bend under the strain before he does. He’s such a good rider you should put him on a pedestal. Not like the rest of us local riders - we’re just a shower.

Oof.

To Mike Fule’s post: Those forest locales look like they was made to order for for UCC!
