Pictures of your latest ride

Got out for a nice 7 miler this morning on the 36". Due to recent rains there were some pretty wet areas and I was glad to have a fender. This was the first time I brought my compact tripod along and tried to get some decent self-timer pictures. Most of the pictures took multiple tries for each shot and broke up the flow of the ride so I don’t think it’s something I’d want to do every time out.

Nice piccies guys.

This one was taken this morning. I went along to Rhyl. Did spend a while walking as I was a bit wobbly with my freemounts. But had a lovely ride

not me but a crazy friend, during the french Beret Baguette fixed gear ride
It was a really funny time, people reactions were amazing

On Sunday I was on one of my usual rides to the local hills. A lot of people were gathering at the top because two buildings were about to be blasted 6 km away half an hour later. There were already several cameras on tripods - here is a video from one of them:

(The buildings go down at 0:15 and 1:50 - there is a view over the top of the hills at the end of the video…)

Paco loves MUni - so nice to ride singletrack again close to home.

At long last managed to get a ride in. Not another person to see for miles.

Monsieur K…
GREAT OUTFIT!

Looking good Cody! What are those two unis on the left? I’ve never seen that kind of frame before. Btw, could you possibly post a larger pic? ;):stuck_out_tongue:

First Muni Ride

Decided to go into work late today so I could take my first muni ride. Received my muni on Friday, however I have not have a chance to get out for a ride. Went to a local park that has groomed walking/horse trails to try it out. I’m guessing that I did around a 1-1/2 miles when I add in the sidewalk ride I did at the end. Killer workout and incredibly fun.

The section below gave me the most trouble. I was not able to climb or descend it. So now I’ll just have to add that to my list of goals.

Those pictures show a flat riding path. Are you talking about the mountain in the background?

Just messin’ with ya, it’ll get easier, soon you’ll be cranking hills with roots and rocks

I felt pretty lame. But I have to remember that I’m not on my bike.

Don’t feel lame. The cool thing about muni is every ride is different, even on the same trail. What seems impossible one day will suddenly be easy when you go back and do the same trail later. There are some huge boulders on my usual route - at least that’s what I thought the first time I rode it. Now they are pebbles.

When I first started riding “off road” it was on grass, not exactly rough terrain, but throw a twig in my way and I was down! Now I ride harder trails, still have my daily struggles, moves I’m working on, then once I get something I start working on a new move/line.

I like muni because it’s easy to stay busy, so never boring.

Those are EB frames, started by a guy here (I forget who).

It has been a bucket list item of mine to ride across the Rte 35 Bridge between Red Bank and Middletown, NJ. It was a crappy bucket list item, to be sure, but at least it’s checked off.

This is The Beast looking out over the Navesink River. If you squint you can see the Bon Jovi residence.

Dane’s really taken to his uni now and wanted to try out some dirt. He far exceeded my expectations, taking on a couple dry creek crossings and all the hills. It’s so cool to watch him progress!

Today, he rode the mile to school and when he got there, he was mobbed by 50 kids (mostly girls, my wife said  ) who thought it was the coolest thing they’d ever seen.

Yes, he cleared this on the first try!

And absolutely beautiful morning for a 12 mile MUni ride. I took these shots after the ride, which I had done on my G26er. I had also brought along my kh 24 MUni so I could go back to this part of the trail and take these shots, which I didn’t want to risk doing on my GUni.

A few pictures from last Saturday’s ride with VanUni. 10 riders, 2 walkers, 1 dog and 1 toddler, a pretty good turn-out.

Carl from N.M. was in town. Gov’t trail was very very nice, typically snowcovered this time of year, not this year. Very interesting 26er he rides.
